Lincoln Clyde-ride
...or others welcome, too, of course. We're shooting for something short that ends up at a coffee shop. Cultiva would be my first choice as a destination, but I rode by yesterday morning to take note of their hours: Monday through friday, 7 to noon, 9 to 5 on Saturday, closed Sunday. He's more of a roaster than a storefront-shop, so I guess that makes sense, but Sunday would obviously be out.
My second choice(s) would be places that serve Cultiva coffee, which I think are The Cup and Jones coffee, and they're both closed on Sundays, too.
If we're going to do Sunday, downtown places that are open are the Coffee House and the Mill for sure, and Coffee Connection close to 27th and Randolph opens at 8 or 9, too. If we do Saturday and plan to run a little later to catch these open-at-9 places, the options go way up.
If anyone has any preferences, suggestions are certainly welcome. No particular route in mind yet, either. I'd be willing to meet/start pretty much anywhere and get a few more miles in on the way to meet-up, so whatever would be preferred by folks who aren't up to higher mileage yet sounds fine for a meeting place.

There is a Mill right at 48th and... Prescott? I know it's open Sunday pretty early, just not sure when .
Also I'm out for this Sunday, looks like a last minute trip to Iowa for the kids to visit the grandparents. I'll get to ride the Wabash Trace again, though, so all is not lost .

There certainly is a Mill on 48th and Prescott and its just up the street from us, so maybe a loop? Saturday is my wife's birthday but we don't have anything planned until later in the day. Sundays are out for me because she works from 11am until sometime the next freaking morning at the Grand.

I have a friend who just moved to town in that neighborhood, too, so maybe I'll arrange to meet him for a bit at/after coffee. What time do you guys want to meet on Saturday--7 or 8? And what's a convienient meet-up for you? From my area, I could head south up Rock Island and meet from somewhere over there...

I'm actually going to be out of town from Friday evening until Sunday evening this weekend . That's the bad news, good news is that it looks like I might get some more miles in on the gorgeous Wabash Trace trail in Iowa.
How does next weekend look for everyone?

Yeah, next weekend would be fine, too. I'm fairly open on the weekends, especially in the mornings.
I just dropped off the Miyata for some headset adjustments, and this will give me a week to break in the new B-17 Special that's going on the bike. Funny, the saddle is $5 more than the bike!

Looks good for me. Saturday for sure-Sunday AM's are a bit hectic with my wife getting home at 1-2 and then having to get up and open the Theatre again.

How is this Saturday looking? I have a lot of stuff to do pretty much all day, but I could swing a short early morning jaunt in the 6 or 7 AM range.

Im at a wedding/reception on Friday night for an undetermined period of time....I will probably go out later, but since they are close friends we will probably be there awhile. It sort of crept up and I looked at the calendar and said "holy crap".

Hey, do you know the beerorkid.com guy? He has something on his site today about his bro-in-law getting married on Friday. He's an avid cyclist, too.

Hah, us busy old farts! Yeah we can try for it, let me know. Usually Sunday is better for me, but I could probably make Saturday work. Just depends on the consulting schedule. With what I charge for that, I'm happy to miss out on a bike ride.

I'll see if I get done with all of the house maintenance stuff I need to do on Saturday (and if I'm still alive, or if I've fallen off a ladder). I might be able to swing Sunday for a bit.

If it's early on a Sunday, any Sunday works for me, I just need to be back at the house by 930ish so Kol can get ready for work at 11.

ok, late notice again...how about this: I'll be hanging on the bench near the 27th/Hwy 2 bridges at about 7 am tomorrow. If somebody shows, awesome; if not, no biggie. And then tool around a bit and some coffee?
...or, there's a show tomorrow night at 9 at the Box that I'm going to attend for sure, so I could do something in the evening if everyone wanted to watch some avant-rock for a while...

That'll teach me for not checking BF all week..
Maybe soon again. Now that health and (crossing fingers here..) my job stress is better, I'm hoping the mileage will pick back up. My mileage this month so far is less than most weeks last month

Well, I'm out for this weekend. I'm starting grad school, and I'll have to be in 5 hour classes Saturday and Sunday once a month in Omaha, starting this week. Alas.

Library Science. Nothing too exciting--music is still very much my passion, but it doesn't pay the bills if I do the kind of weird-ish stuff I like.
