Closing Olympic Bikes

OK, I want one of these. My wife just knew it as soon as it came on the TV.

Closing ceremonies started and I saw the bikes and knew there had to be pictures somewhere. So I did a quick google search and they were there. I may have to ask my LBS when they will be in stock.

Didn't Mr. Garrison from South Park invent those?

I saw those on a unicycle site some time back- they had photos of 'em practice riding. I understand that's actually army soldiers riding them- what an assignment!

Don't forget that army has a different definition though..... In communist countries, any time the government pays you to do something for which you should not be paid, they simply assign you to the army, then pay you as a soldier. The USSR, East Germans, and Chinese did this with Olympic athletes for years, back when the rule was that Olympic athletes had to be amateurs. It's one of the reasons they got rid of that rule.

I have seen many motorized monocycles, but I like the pedal power.

I just want to know how much they really cost. I will never own one, but still something I think I would like to try.

Did you contact anyone about it? Where is the U.S. distributor located?
