Another milestone down!!

My first goal for the year was to ride 30 miles. I did that 2 weeks ago. My next goal was to ride 50 miles. I did that today!! It wasn't easy, especially the last 15 miles. I rode on the Lake Wobegon Trail that's about an hour from my house. It's on old railroad bed so it's flat and paved. It was a very nice trail. There were a few too many roads to stop for but I guess that's going to happen wherever you ride. I was having trouble with my computer for the first 1/2 of the ride. Apparently when I had it on the car rack the fork sensor slip up a little and wasn't reading. I think I over paced a little on that first half but it went pretty well. I went 50 miles in 3.5 hours at an avg speed of 14.3 mph. Those numbers are doubled what I had at the end since I only had a reading for the way back. My first 30 mile ride 2 weeks ago took 2.5 hours and I averaged 12.4 miles and hour so today was a good improvement.

Next goal - Metric Century

Outstanding achievement, Mike. Thanks for posting your average speed too, 14.3 is pretty quick for me. It's nice to know that not everybody does 19mph. Good job!
