In a effort to ...

start losing weight again, I joined the YMCA today. In fact, my wife came to me and told me she was ready to start working out and get a move on with her weight loss effort as well. . It will be nice to have a workout partner again.

Saturday, I start with a new regiment and a renewed effort.

Well Brian, if you're gonna get serious, maybe I should too. I've been riding the same 18 mile loop every day for a couple of weeks, I'm going to start going for more miles. My longest ride is 40 miles, I really want to do a metric century...

OK, Brian, now you've inspired me!

Awesome! I am in the same boat... I wish you luck! My question to other Clydes out there is what tips do you have for people like Brian and me, who are trying to lose weight and get in shape...

Bought a bike today for my 34th birthday! First day back in the saddle in 15 years is tomorrow!

Haha... Thought 5 miles would be a nice start. Made it 7... sweat like a stuffed pig, legs burning, ass sore and LOVE every minute!

Tomorrow will be the true test... if I can even make it outta bed!

So, did the YMCA today. Really, really nice place. 65K square feet with an in-door pool and a therapy pool that is 104 degrees. Used to be a rehabilitation center for Brooks Rehab, but they gave to the YMCA as Brooks built a new joint somewhere else.

Mrs. jaxgtr did great, over an hour of consistent exercise. She will be sore tomorrow that is for sure, so I am trying to get her to go back for a few laps in the pool and then a soak in the therapy pool tonight when we take my son to work.

That's her way of telling you that you're getting too fat and she finds you sexually undesireable. Smething happened to me just the other day. Today I rode 40 miles up the hills in the heat in an order to get back into shape so that she won't leave me for a younger thinner dude. She stayed home in the AC. But I got home and she still wouldn't touch me cause I was too sweaty. Lose lose situation. I think it's over!
