Broke a spoke on the way to work today
I broke a spoke on my way in today.
Will it be a problem riding back home, or should I call the wife for a pickup?
I ride a Specialized Globe Sport, so I have quite a few spokes with it being a hybrid, and the wheel is still spinning true.
Just want to know if I'm asking for trouble riding it home or not.

Front Wheel, Back Wheel, How many miles on the bike?
Might be covered by warranty. Mine was at 2800 miles.

You will be fine to ride it home. I would remove it if you can if not bend it around the adjacent spoke so it doesn't puncture the tube or get wrapped in the drive train.

Don't gamble! A broken spoke puts extra stress on the remaining spokes. That's just asking for more broken lil dudes.
When you take it to the shop, tell them not only to replace the spoke, but also verify that the spokes have enough tension . OR you're asking for more broken spokes! Lack of tension is a spoke killer!...Might as well hang your bike in the closet now!

It looks like I'm going to call for my wife to pick me up =(
The wheel is just ever so slightly not true anymore, and I don't want to risk any further damage.
That's too bad, I was going for a full week straight of bike commuting.
