My goals this week are not including any exercise since I am re-cooping from my marathon. I have blisters and sore legs to the point where I am having a hard time even getting out of bed.

So short and sweet goals this week:
1) No soda
2) At least 8 cups of water a day
3) Make better food choices

Just registered today and I'd like to jump into this thing! I'm a broken down ex-Rugby/ex-Ice Hockey guy with bad knees. On the advice of my orthopedist (and the constant pain in my left knee from several injuries and surgeries) I gave up running this year and subsequently gained 14 pounds in eight months.

Weigh-in this AM: 218.5.
Goal weight: 200 by New Years Day (tough time of year to start a loss regimen).
Goal for the Week: Four hours in the saddle; road, trail, or trainer doesn't matter.

Is this all I have to do to get into the BL thread?

So far it has not been the best Weight Loss week - I chose to eat a Burrito and chips last night. USually I hit Subway! big mistake - as I looked up the caolries afterwards. STAY AWAY FROM BURITTOS AND CHIPS! Also missed my workout today -a s my alarm clock was on vibrate. So no workouts since Sunday's ride...
OH dear! OK tomorrow I will work out before work! This weekend I am at my parents for a big a party- will need to be sure and work out then as well.

OK otnight and tomorrow night - SUBWAY....

I'm doing ok so far. Still eating too much dinner, but I am down a pound. Also, ridden 54 miles so far this week, with another 36 or so coming this afternoon. I should easily get over 120 for the week, so that will be good.

Looks like I'm going to have to rely on mostly diet for the rest of this week. Got an irritating little saddle sore, that's going to have to heal up before I can do any more spin sessions. Luckily, my job keeps me on my feet moving around all day so I should get some benefit from that.

DorsalPhin my stats for the spreadsheet should read:
Start: 186 lbs
Week 1: 182 (minus 4)
Week 2: 181 (minus 1)

I edited my stats when I realized we're only starting week 3

Thanks in advance, and very nice job you're doing with the spreadsheet,

Denny

OK this week was not so good so far on the workout foront.:treadmill: Left my sneakers at work most days - so could not workout when I woke up in my Chicago apt (I live in ATL- commute during the week). Maybe moving form the hotel life (I loved Chciago Hotels!) to the apt did it...or maybe the 200+ miles last weekend - but somehow - I worked late . forgot sneakers, ate not the best! Anyway - I am in FLA for a family gathering this weekend (Mom is an awesoem cook!) So......

Well I know I would tell ya'll not to do this - but I got on the scale...itsaid 6 pounds down from last week. So if it is accurate - yay - but atleast even if it is not 100% (Mom says it is right) I still feel better that the 3 lbs I gained last week is off... So I am off to the gym in a bit.. Going to try and work out for 2 hours... Shoudl be interesting. Very hard to believe I am not out riding this week. I did though sign up for a century next weekend. (OOOH my 2nd and I thinkit is flat - or as flat as can be in GA - no Mountain this time!)

OK- How are y'all doing? I suspect you are out and about just getting warmed up onyour bikes. Be safe out there, have fun and step away form the desserts!

OK - Bye for now! The Bee!

Ah, the different scale phenomenon. It doesn't matter what you do, no 2 scales show the same weight. I'm thinking of getting another scale to see if I'm lighter ;-)

I'm still having trouble with dinner portion control, but my lunches are improving. Had salads a couple times this week. I've dropped one for sure. Hoping to have dropped 2 by weigh in on Monday morning.

The weeks been pretty good so far, although I did go off the diet yesterday for some happy hour fun with friends. At least it was light beer that I chose as my drink of choice. The chicken wings covered in honey BBQ sauce are another story though. But if your going to drink, you kind of have to eat something to help keep things in check.
Looks like I'll be back in the saddle as soon as tomorrow. The saddle sore has healed up nice & quick, so I'm glad I stayed off the bike for those few days. It'll be good getting that extra excercise in, kind of like the Last Chance Workout. Doing really good on drinking water, I think I've had at least 8 glasses every day this week. Plus I've eaten more friuts & veggies than I have in a long time. Probably since I was a kid.
Keeping my fingers crossed for at least 1 pound off the scale,

Denny

Thought you folks might find this interesting. My company has been chosen to participate in an Extreme Home Makeover in Pittsburgh. This Tuesday (21st) we'll be doing the drywalling along side of Ty & the gang. We have 12 hours to get our part of the job completed, so it promises to be a good calorie burning day.

Here's the link if your interested in seeing what it's about.

Just remember if TV people are filming around you, ignore them, unless directly questioned, if you are interrupted, stop what your doing, pay attention to the TV people, then go back to what you were doing, it's very easy to make mistakes when your not paying attention to what your doing. Kinda like the guy on the motorcycle watching the pretty girl and rear ending a car, they pulled his helmet (he was still wearing it) out of the back window of the car ahead of the one he hit

A little before midnight, I weighed in at 300.7 lbs, down 1.5 lbs from last week. However, I am hoping that by morning, I will be into the 200's and will NEVER see a 3 as my first number again! (BTW, no exercising was done this week as I was re-cooping from my marathon). And I completed goal #1 which was no soda for the week! I am very proud! I have been an iced tea junkie all week.

I can't wait to see everyone's numbers this week!!!

I got on the scale this morning before leaving for work. Minus 3 lbs., which puts me at 178 for this weeks weigh in. I have not been under 180 lbs. since the late "80's, so I was very happy to see that number.

Good luck to everybody, and lets se those numbers,

Denny

This week down 1 lb, rode 72 miles and was compliant with my weight watcher points.

Missed one day of riding so missed goal of 90 miles.
