Ride 212 9,000 Miles

Old Fat Guy Rides passed 9,000 miles today.
Highway 45 North at Hughes Road in Dickinson Texas.
Do you think The State of Texas should place a historical marker here?

Maybe they'll do it for an even 10,000 mile mark. Congratulations, by the way.

I could go further if I had your dark glasses.
Being retired helps.

Believe I will get 11,000 miles.
I am stronger than ever. I still ride with Dave and he does his birthday miles 6 days a week (65).
I commute to his home, 15 mi round trip. (Dave has 11,600 miles ytd)
The Good News is That this time of year is the best time to ride , as the Hot Temps are now gone.
60* to 80* each ride. I love it.
Sun 83 mi
Mon 82 mi
Tue 83 mi
I am also considering a goal of One Century Ride Every Week for Next Year.

Absolutely outstanding. I can't wait until I'm retired!!

Also, nice glove choice! I'm personally loving the woodland camo Mechanix for fall/winter commuting. I'll be rockin' them next summer as well.

Hopefully with more training prior to the event, I will be able to do just that. I hit the 67.5 mile mark at about that pace last year with basically no training beforehand. So if I train, I should be able to maintain.

Still no news on the team from Tom so far, but I'm sure he'll have it soon.
