Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

Named after a character in a story told by a character in a movie from the 80s... plus the year of my birth.

I have a fascination with PlatyPi. For a few years I owned the domain name Platypi.us Hence, PlatyPius. It's my screen name on all forums but my own. My original avatar was a platypus wearing a pope hat. I'm also a cartoon character in a strip done by a guy I'm friends with.

My "official" name is Pope Platy Pius LXIX....

... and the Women's Auxiliary barfed all over the Benevolent Order of Antelopes. And Lardass just sat back and enjoyed what he created;a complete and total Barf-O-Rama.

My handle is from my first bike. I rescued Raleigh from the scrapmetal bin and put some serious miles on it, still have the bike now, it is the neighborhood beater and used to pull my trailer.

A long long time ago after wanting one since childhood I got my first electric vehicle registered and on the road. It was a former Gasoline S-10 Blazer converted to run on 152 volts of DC Power. So my email to signup for the electric vehicle discussion list was EVBlazer.
I sold it to a guy in NY when I was moving to Texas since I hardly used it anymore as I was cycling everywhere.

I'm a clydesdale by default, 6"5' , 210#. Didn't even break 200 until 52. I was 6'5" at 13 & never grew another inch. Only weighed 160 though. My actual name is spiker but having always been at least a head taller & thin as a rail everyone thought spiker was a nickname. I'd have to produce documentation to "prove" it was my name.

Fantasminha means "little ghost" in Portuguese--my husband's native language. It's referring to the fact that I'm still super-pale even when I'm tan.

I sometimes use "Unmutual" as well. Unmutual and the avitar are a reference to an old 60's show called "The Prisioner" about what happens to spies and double agents when they want to retire.

Is that you Number 6?

When I was in junior high school there was a kid who called everyone by their last name only changing the first letter to a "Z". The kid's name was Fritz, and he stopped the gag when we started calling him "Zitz". But the nickname stuck to me.

Mine is based on my last name (Fairbanks).

Growing up, people called me Fairchild, Fairfield, Fairmont, and other names when they forgot who I was. Fairchild was the most common because Morgan Fairchild was fairly famous through most of the 70s and 80s, the main chunk of when I grew up.

Anyway, at one time my amateur surfing career was just getting started (I thought I'd be a pro someday), and I was sort of sponsored (for no good reason...I had little talent, but was friends with a surfboard manufacturer). A professional photographer took pictures of us surfing, and he kept calling me Fairmont by accident. My friends and I thought it was pretty funny, so the nickname stuck.

I'm 40 now, and a few people still call me Fairmont occasionally, including my wife and a few old friends.

The name was also given to my first car, a 67 Toyota Corona that was bright orange like a pumpkin. Friends called it The Fairmont.

So, I'm Fairmont.

When several friends who don't know each other all assigned me the same nickname, I figured it was a keeper. It's also the stage name i used when i played in bands.

In Enterprise Alabama there is a statue to the Boll Weevil, the insect that once nearly destroyed the cotton industry. It is the only monument dedicated to a pest in the world, as far as I know. Seenoweevil is the optimum state any cotton farmer can find himself in, I suppose, and a play on words.

When I joined the forum I was riding an Electra Townie, A bike that is ridden in the "sit up and beg" position. That combined with my widebody build made me an airbrake.
