weight loss success stories from cycling
Bicycling magazine has stories this month of people who have lost over 100 pounds from bicycling (Jan/Feb issue). There are also stories of more people (then what was in the mag) who have lost weight and I believe you can upload you story if you like. Here's the link https://www.bicycling.com/newyou. I haven't read the stories yet, but maybe I will get to read one of my BF friend's story there

I'm not sure if I've lost much weight, but I've got faster fat now.

I feel like I way less
HI,
I really feel like I weigh alot less than I do, My scale says 255 But I feel like I did when I was much lighter.
I will try harder to drop a few but when I diet my energy levels seem to drop off.
I have made a real effort to avoid processed food, and sugar.
We will see.
Lets see now ridding since july average daily ride 23-32 mile.
Average speed now 16.8-18.6 Mph.
Not bad for a 58 Y/o CLyde.
Doug

I am at 75lbs now lost since last December, and plan to keep losing more. I have more energy and am definitely more healthy, but I don't feel all that much lighter, per se. When I look at myself I still see the fat belly instead of the improvements I have made, but it is hard to deny the reality when in the fitness aisle at Walmart and I pick up three of the 25lb free weights. That is heavy, and I used to pack that much extra lard around all the time. I still have one more of those weights to go, and probably some more after that.
I actually recommend that little activity. It is a real eye opener when you pick up how much weight you have lost. Since the weight comes off so gradually it helps to make the progress feel more real.

Very cool!
I just got too busy and never got my story written up and submitted. I'm proud of those that did.
And yes, I have a serious man crush on BigScott's quads!

I'm glad that they put stuff like that out there for folks like us. Just because we are big does not mean that we don't enjoy riding as much if not more then "normal" folks. We also buy stuff just like the skinny guys and in my case I destroy parts like crazy. I think most retailers are a little more understanding to our needs these days.
Thanks for the props on my quads... They sure do take a beating with all the freaking insane climbs we have around here.
My trail buddy doing her thang, not easy to take a one handed off road picture.
