One Bad Day, One Good!

Decided to go out for a ride on Friday the 26th. Took the tandem but didn't realize it was going to be very W-I-N-D-Y!!!. It was really cold too (for us Califolk). We started out with the intentions of doing a 2 miler. Started out into the wind and boy my legs were tight. We turned around then headed to the coast. Halfway there I just pulled over and told Gina I didn't really feel like riding for some reason. I was fine, not sick, not tired, just not into the ride spirit. She was more than willing to complete the ride but I wasn't. I think it's the first time I've cut a trail ride short. So we headed back and posed for a couple of tandem shots since we've never been photo'd on it! 26 miles @13.2 average, darn wind!

Very windy and I'm pretty sure Gina was happy that I chose the tandem on this day. Pretty sure she's happy that I wussed too!

Today, Saturday the 27th......I felt much better! Same route, maybe more wind but my head was into it today. Legs warmed up nicely and spirits were high. Average was much better eventhoug we doubled the mileage from yesterday. Still very windy but managed a 15.2 average. You know it's tough when you're pushing hard and doing 10 mph! Gina wa a little scared after yesterday's ride, thinking I might today opt for singles. N'ah, gotta ride the tandem to redeem myself!..Strange how one day can differ so much from the next!

I's feeling so good I thru in some pushups at breaktime!

BTW, know how hard it is to set the timer, run down the road, jump on the tandem, clip in, ride and pose all in ten seconds?

BTW, know how hard it is for some of us to do pushups?

Looks like a good ride either way- doesn't have to be an endurance test every day.

Mr Beanz--Is your tandem new? Hubby and I have a Trek T900 on layaway to pick up in January (when we get our new fitness money from the company.) How's Gina liking being stoker?

Not new, 1998. 10 years now but new Deep V's. I take very good care of it cause they cost!

Gina does very well, very relaxed and goes with the flow. Never panics, not even on the 56 mph descent!..We've done 4 centuries back in 2000. Didn't touch the singles for nearly a year or two after we got it. She likes it alot! I think it's one of the best things I've ever purchased!

10 years old and still looking purty. About a month ago!
