Hey Guys:
Well I have been on vacation in FLA visiting family -where I usually do my worst diet wise. So all in all I hopeThe Biggest Loser Thread has helped many of you. For me I imagine I will break even. I do intend to get back on track soon - Jan 5th I return tomy consukting job - in Chicago - away from a home with a ton of food! ANd ofcourse cooking for parties does not help.

So for me - I am not sure if this posting the thread is helping me. I need y'all's advice for 2009. Sha'l we post the Biggest Loser thread?

Maybe a poll is in order. Stay tuned....

Also - should we end this years's Biggest Loser with the weigh in as of next Monday?? (No poll - so just let me know your thoughts here...or PM me... )

I'm going to continue my regimen of 3 trainer workouts during the week, and a ride on the weekend, pending weather. I do plan to get out for a ride on New Years Day too. Also:
Keep an eye on portions so I don't slip back to old habits.
Drink water! I haven't been drinking enough and the hangover type dehydration headaches are letting me know.

I did a 2 hour trainer ride today and my legs are feeling it. I'm sure hoping this will increase my endurance.

Welcome back Bee!

Sorry guys! Been way too busy for my own good, but hopefully, all has settled down now

I updated the spreadsheet for the past few weeks...check it over to make sure your weights are right. Any changes, let me know and I will fix it ASAP!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a great New Year!!!

BTW, Bee, I think you should continue with the Biggest Loser, however, maybe start over for the new year, especially since the new season of Biggest Loser will be on in January!!! We can have a fresh start to a new year, with new weight loss goals! I for one know that 2009 will be the year of getting Manda to AT least 199! I have 365 days to lose it and I know with the help of this thread, I am more accountable for my weight. However, the choice is all yours! Let me know what you decide to do!

Take care everyone!!!!!

Down 70 pounds on the year, about 30 of that in the last 14 weeks, 15 of them in the last 5 weeks.

Hi all,

Hope all had a happy, healthy holiday season! And thanks Bee and Mrs. Dorsal Phin for keeping this thread going and stats posted! Both were great motivators. This is the first time in years that I didn't gain weight between Thanksgiving and the New Year. Although maybe I shouldn't count my chicks (pounds) yet!

Not sure from the posts if this is the last week of this challenge or if it's going through the new year. I don't know, either, that I'd sign on for another round. I've got a family member talking about starting a weight loss plan for the new year so we may do a buddy support thing at home.

At any rate, my current goals are to stay under 165 and to do at least 2 exercise tapes with weights and do a 20 to 40 mile ride.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy New Year!

I agree with Dorsal. Maybe the new season of BL will spark the interest back into the threads. We needed to get thru the holiday's, and the interest kind of faded away during them. It is a friendly little non-contest we have here, so maybe a fresh start is in order. I still have some weight to lose, so I'm sure I would participate again.

Just kind of my 2 cents,

Denny

My goal is to get down to 140, and then maintain. I'm currently sitting at 168. I'm 5' 7" tall, so 140 would be a nice goal.
