Tire pressure for singletrack
For you Clydes that ride singletrack, what pressure are you running to hit that ideal between too low/snakebites and too high/wack handling? I'm 204 & was running 40, both front and rear on relatively firm trail, but the slightly muddy low parts of the trails felt like my handling was off (had the rear slide out on me and got thrown once). What are you guys running with those conditions?

I generally run 40lbs. In the winter, when it's likely to be muddy, I run WTB Velociraptor tires so that I get decent handling and traction. In the summer, when things are generally firm, I'll switch to different tires. Maybe a Kenda Nevegal up front and a Small Block 8 in the rear. No two ways about it, though: mud is going to be slippery no matter what tires and pressures you use!

I run about 25 lbs up front and 30 in the rear. That is on 2.1 inch 29er tires with Stanz conversion or my 26 inch bike with tubes and a 2.4 up front and 2.0 in the rear.
