made the transition

Well I just got up for the normal morning weigh in and found out that I have fallen out of the uber-clyde to the clydesdale ......
Been busting my a$$ on the bike and was pleased that the scale was reading 299.0
been looking to break the 300 mark for some time now just happy I finally got there.

Cool! What was the starting point? I had a friend Bigkahunadad on the forums a few years ago. Went from 480 to 230 after dicovering his love for cycling. Without he surgery! He had his story posted in "mtbforums" (?...not sure of the forums actual site name).

You're in the 200's now , right behind me!....:thumb:

Well done NCman, now that you busted through your plataue it's onward and downward!

ncman 08-30-09 08:26 AM

starting point was 350
wife bought a wii and I set a goal to be able to use it (the balance borad tops out at 330)
then the next goal was to break the 300 point
my next goal is 50 more pounds to hit 250
Bicycling has had a lot to do with it so has eating right
wife and I are planning a week long vacation and now we take the bikes to get around the town
where as before we would see SOME sights but then hit a movie order a pizza and mostly veg out ..
now we bike canoe raft swim hike walk etc...
Thats everyone for all the good advice help and great comments

good luck to all

That is great and all of the stories you guys are sharing are inspiring me to finally break that Athena plateau in the coming six months. I am averaging about 16-25 miles each outing but I need to ramp it up as I plan to complete a century in the coming year and nothing is going to stand in my way. Keep the inspiring stories coming.

Keep riding.
