I would like to join if I may?
Starting weight Monday was 373
Goals for the week? Stay above 70 degrees and get below 370 pounds!
Changes? Too many too list? Umm? Many meds changed? Max fluid intake limited to 1500CC daily, limiting Pepsi intake to 3 cans daily (bleh), *thinking* about my smoking...

Did I miss anything needed?

Last weeks goal was 248 lbs. I missed it by 1 at 249 lbs. At least I broke that 250 barrier. Also, because of work, I didn't get a chance to ride much, only 54km.

Start weight this week: 249 lbs.
Goal for the week: 246 lbs.

As stated last week, I'll be making a doctor's appointment sometime soon as he's the guy who told me to go get a bike and start riding it. Too much business this week and next, so that will have to wait for a couple of weeks.

To everyone on this thread - keep up the good work, you all are truly inspirational. Thanks Missbumble for keeping the thread alive. (And I hope you're enjoying your new digs)

John

Lost 3 1/2 lbs this week (down to 240 1/2) Goal for this week is to finally get into the 230's. Taking a couple of days off work, to do some fishing and hopefully get some riding in. I need to drink more water and less diet pop

Sorry I am late to the game as well. I started at 233-235.

Monday I weighed 230.

My goal is to eventually get down to 170.

I plan on riding a lot of miles and watching my calorie intake, I have 60 mile in since the start of monday and plan on another 20 today.

I lost another 2lbs last week. I rode over 200 miles the week of 9/14-9/20 and expected bigger losses from all the extra effort, but noooooooo. Last week I didn not get to ride but once because of bad weather and other activities, but still lost the same 2lbs. I'm back on the bike again this week and hope to really get started on my resistance training soon.

I have a Crossbow home gym and a treadmill that sits in my living room getting pretty dusty. I need to dust this stuff off for the winter and get working on my days away from the bike. My goal this week is to map out a plan and routine for using the resistance machine.

Current Weight = 241
Last Week = 243
Lost = 2lbs

Last week was a better week for me, I down 2.5 pounds, from 206.6 to 204.1. I road 104 miles last week and ate a lot better. This week is off to a slower start and I won't be getting in near as many miles. I did go for an off-road ride yesterday on some MTB trails, it's been a while since I've done that. I only went 10 miles but I got one heck of a workout. Yesterday also happened to be my birthday, so we went out for a big dinner and I'm sure that didn't help things at all. My goal for the rest of this week is to simply maintain where I'm at, and continue to eat healthier and squeeze in a couple rides at some point.

Welcome - Hey can we think about changing the Pepsi to Diet pepsi???Also bad for you - but atleast not empty calories. I need to cut down my Diet Coke intake - and I know it's tough!! I think on the goals - maybe think small and measurable... and specific. Like how will you drop a few pounds... maybe eat more X and less y... Just the bees 2 cents.

For eevery Diet Pepsi -can ya drink a glass of water?? And then 8 glasses of water after that too - so net net 8 glasses of water per day and then 1:1 with Diet pepsi above and beyond.

Remember instead of a regular pepsi you could be eating chocolate cake.... so just think about switching to Diet P.... Ok that's enough from the Bee...just my thoughts... ya can tell me to shut up.

Welcome.... Happy riding! Sue

I'm down to 274 this week. I've lost 82 pounds so far. The bad news is I'm going to Chicago this weekend. Chicago dining and weight loss do not mix! Perhaps I can rent a bike somewhere. I'm staying near the Navy pier...

Umm...Am confused? I read the post above? It said list your starting weight on Monday, I did. then goals for the week - I did (with a bit of humor) "get below 370lbs" (that means lose 3lbs this week = a goal, right?) So I believe that qualifies as both 'small' and "measurable". Another "small and measurable" goal" was reducing my daily intake of Pepsi from 5-7 cans per day to a MAX of three. Tis no point of setting a goal if it is not realistic.

I realise that there are way many posts on here to expect everyone to read every post - Lord knows I do not read every post myself, the 1500CC limit of daily fluid has been set my heart DR until I have my knee replacement surgery, and until I start exercising, and get off my pain meds. so - it is baby steps - and these baby steps are beeter than no steps...

Cheers!

OOOH soory If I offended you - they are great steps! Go Get em. I guess I wrote my response cause a lot of people write their goals as lose 3 lbs - but don't really say what action they will be taking. I usually try to get people thinking about a few things they can do!

Keep at it!

Well weigh in is 246lbs. Loss back off of 6lbs. Just need to get back to 242 and then lower. I have been having motivational issues but we just bought mountain bikes this weekend and we got out sat for an hour (stupid sunday rain). I feel the need to ride again and get my ass back in gear!!!!!

200 here I come BABY.

Goals this week - 242 lbs - loss of 4lbs (I hope)
Ride more either road or mountain is cool with me (mountain is winning it over just now)

Seems as though I am doing good so far. I was able to get in 140 miles this week.

Last Monday: 230 lbs
This Monday: 221 lbs

Goals this coming week: Would love to hit 215.

Plan on doing what i have been doing which is as much riding as possible and counting those calories.
