Seeking Advice on Cycling Tights

I've been looking for a good pair of tights. Most XLs fit nicely, but the brands I've tried are 2-3" too long. Seems like XLs are made for guys 6' and up. I'm 5'10" with 38-39" waist and 30" inseam (33" cycling inseam). Just wondering if anyone knows a brand with a shorter inseam. Or, barring that, what do shorter clydes do with the extra fabric around the ankles? Velcro straps maybe???

Try Sugoi or Boure

Stuff them in your socks. Problem solved.

A lot of us huskies have that problem. I love my Performance Triflex winter tights but they are way too long, so I just double them over above my ankles and get an extra layer of warmth. It works fine. According to their website, Boure' will make you custom tights for a 25% premium if you want to go that route. They are a good small business to work with... someone will actually answer an email.

My Gore Windstopper tights are only about 1" or 1.5" too long. I just hike them up until the ankle is in the right place and don't worry too much about the extra fabric. I'm 5'9" with a 32" inseam (measured w/o shoes). The Gore size XL was perfect when I had a 38" waist. Now that I've shrunk down to 34" they're a bit too wide, unfortunately.

Thanks for the tip about Boure. They have a great 'clearance' page. Nice deals.

I went up to REI today and tried Pearl Izumi and Novarra. PI was way too long. Novarra's length was good but I didn't like they way they fit. Might need XXL.

I'll give Gore another shot. I tried them on a few weeks ago. They were the most comfortable that I've tried so far. I'll try doubling them up or tucking them in like Historian said. Shoot, if he can take down a deer with them tucked in then I should be able to ride like that!

Try knickers, unless your calves get cold.
