Sunday recovery ride / tour of DC with my best girl

Had a nice work out with the guys on Saturday and decided to take it easy and enjoy the scenery today. Really nice day in DC on the Mt. Vernon trail and ridin around downtown. Good to slow down and enjoy the ride sometimes I thinks.

At the WWII memorial -- photo by a friendly German tourist (just realized the beauty of that)

Nice pictures and thank you for them. I am not riding outdoors currently so those pictures are nice to see. I am running outside, but not riding those extra MPH make a huge difference on the wind chill, and my fingers and toes do not like the cold at all.

Cool pics, thanks for posting them. I've always wanted to see DC in person.

Hear you on the MPH / windchill. The bike in the photos is my "winter training / utility bike" (I need to give them each a purpose to justify owning 4 to the woman in the photos). It's not the same as getting out on the roadbike for some quality time, but when it gets cold and wet, it's nice to have fenders and the extra lbs. (I'm guessing it's ~35#) and rolling resistance make for a lower speed work out. Does a nice job of eating winter road potholes too.
