A Ride In The Woods

This past Saturday, I spent a couple hours riding my favorite local mountain bike park. Only saw one other rider on the trail. i like it that way. I have a hard enough time getting along with myself.

I love this time of year. Snakes are gone. Frost has gotten the poison ivy, and the air is crisp and dry.

That looks like cycling in Blair Witch country. I wish we had places like that in southern California.

That looks like fun and reminds me how much I miss my 2-stroke KTM and racing through wooded areas in the fall and winter with one of my best friends from high school.

Thanks for the pictures!!!!

We do... you only have to look for them - have you not been to Julian? The San Gabriels (Chantry Flats)? Big Bear? We have a "Blair Witch" right in OC (between Santiago Oaks and Weir Canyon)

JBoyd - lovely photos - thanks for sharing. Makes me want to get out and ride! If only I could leave work now....

Creative use of your camera as well. Nicely done.

I stand corrected. I should have said I wish I had areas like that readily accessible to my in San Diego. Julian would be the nearest, but it's about an hour away. Maybe I should pick up some pies while I am there.

You did say "Southern California"... Julian is not that far from San Diego, not in terms of spending a lovely day out riding in the woods. What you should have said was "I wish I had something like that right out my back door!"

I do have something I can ride to that is similar right out my back door... maybe you should consider moving from San Diego to OC!
