Time to stop lurking
Hey everyone, I'm Nick. Been lurking around on the forums for a couple months, and decided its time I become an active member of the site. I started riding roughly 3 months ago in hopes of losing some extra weight. And after reading a lot of the threads in this forum, I was amazed to see the results a lot of you have gotten. When I started out, I weighed in at 260. Now 3 months later, I'm down to 245 and still shedding the pounds. I'm 6'3, so I'm more than likely always going to be a clyde, and I'm fine with that. I just want to get back to the shape I was in right after high school (6 years ago).

Hi Nickrows and WELCOME ! you're doing quite well. It's a long process. Losing to quikly can lead to re-gaining to quickly is how I see it. I like the lurking comment, I find that funny.

Welcome and congratulations on your progress so far!
I don't think I'll ever see my high school weight (1970 = 145), but I'm working on getting back to my weight when I retired (3 years ago = 205).
Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys. Throughout highschool I competed nationally in rowing, so I was In pretty good shape. Weighed 185 when I graduated. I know I dont want to get back down to that weight ever again, and probably couldnt since I was still growing haha. I tried to start rowing again, but it just wasnt as much fun as cycling. So I'm here for good.
