Jerseys for the jersey-less Clyde
icyclist, over in the Road forum has recently admitted to owning too many jerseys. As I sit here, watching chainlove.com and bonktown.com, I realize that my closet is full of jerseys that have been worn a few times, but I can't seem to stop feeding the addiction.
Having recently left the technical definition of Clydesdale behind (6'1",185 lbs down from 215-230lbs), I am still a Clyde at heart. That being said, I would like to offer for free a few of my old favorites to a Clyde who might like to wear a jersey, but owns none. These jerseys are all in great shape, well maintained, laundered after each ride and hung to dry.
As most manufacturers tend to do, an XL in one is not the same as an XL in another. I am now an L, but would like to donate my XL inventory of jerseys as a 'Pay It Forward' kind of deal. We'll work on the honor system here, so if you are a Clyde who would fit into an XL, and own NO jerseys, please PM me and I'll let you know what's left. First come, one per Clyde, and I'll update the post as there are takers. All you need to do is pay the shipping (PayPal), which will amount to about $5.00 or less (source: usps.gov). I'll even ship overseas if you want one that badly :-) If you need to see a picture, I can make that happen too.
I'm a little wary of used stuff myself, and would never do this with (ack) bibs or shorts, but these jerseys are really clean.
XL - Performance yellow sleeveless. Runs more like an XXL.
[strike]XL - Canari Blue 'Arrogant Bastard Ale'. A little long in back, fits between XL and XXL.[/strike]
[strike]XL - Verge yellow/blue Thule/Swedish themed jersey. This was my first one ever, fits between XL and XXL. Wide neck. [/strike]
XL - Primal 'Flame Out'. Flames on front and back, red white and blue, stars, stripes,USA patriotic.
[strike]XL - Primal 'Hot Head'. Scary clown on front, red, yellow, orange flames all over.[/strike]
[strike]XL - Performance 'Texas'. Great XL fit, not too tight.[/strike]
[strike]XL - Performance 'Colorado'. Same fit as Texas. [/strike]
[strike]XXL - Primal Ellsworth[/strike]
Unless otherwise noted, all are short-sleeved.

Good on ya for both meeting your weight loss goal, and for paying it forward with the free gear.

where do you recommend I get a jersey if I am 52-56 in the chest but with a big gut? LOL. What can I say, it's a work in progress! I just wore a t-shirt that was really stretchy and mountain bike shorts or my Hincapie Bibs with baggier shorts over that. Not sure if I'm ready for just bibs and a jersey yet. I live in a small town in Wisconsin and it's bad enough being fat. Being fat and showing off in lycra would be even worse IMO. Would be interested in a jersey for my night rides though.
