Things for the "I Love Me" wall

I came across these items while I was cleaning this weekend. I'm debating displaying them on a wall, although I fear that's excessively self-absorbed, even by my standards.

My gym put this up at the front desk when I hit the 100 pound lost mark. After it was up a few weeks, they gave it to me.

When I completed the GAP/C & O in 2008 a poster to the GAP Yahoo Group made this for me.

I guess I was right about being self-absorbed. No one posted a reply to this thread. :-(

Actually pretty cooll stuff there! I just think there's been a lack of posting lately. I post all sorts of cool stuff but get no replies!:D

That's pretty neat. Go ahead and hang it up. I've got a mess of award plaques and trophies floating around and hanging up.

EasyEd 01-18-10 10:29 PM

If it keeps you motivated, every time you walk by and see it, hang it up!

Frame it, then hang it up....it'll look classier then.

Nuthin' wrong with an I love me wall. Both of those are significant moments and achievements.

Share away with the world.

I framed and hung the wrinkled sweat and rain stained route map from the 2007 Queen City Century which was my first and so far only long bike ride. Go for it.

I just took down my 2009 ride numbers and ACP medals from the "Yay, me!" wall at my office to make room for the 2010 "Yay, me!" stuff.

The 2009 stuff will be getting arranged and box framed to hang up in my shop/trainer room at home.

Great monuments to a battle being fought and won. Good job.

Keep them, it's fodder for motivation when you're having a blah day!

I've been busy shoveling the damn driveway to post much. Weirdly, I'm the only one on my street who doesn't use a snowblower or hire a plow. Me, I need the exercise!

Back to the OP: Neil, hang it up. No need to hide your accomplishments. As Jaco Pastorius repeatedly said, "it ain't bragging if you can back it up".

Redskin8006 01-19-10 06:03 PM

That was cool of your gym. You probably helped motivate others without even knowing it.

Thanks! And if you voted, thanks again. :-)
