You should paint it all flat black. Let the paint dry thoroughly. Then wrap masking tape around the frame in s spiral fashion, and spray it tiger-orange.

Somewhere, I remember seeing a black-and-yellow bike painted similar to that, very bee-ish. One of those things so ugly it's cute, you know.

Pulled the cranks and switched out the BB for 110 mm and put the cranks back on. (Looks MUCH better) That's as far as I got before having to come in. The Temp is still below freezing.
I'm gonna have to wait for Monday, when the rest of the house is at work so I can finish in the front room. (that's where we park the good bikes anyway...don't know why she has issues with a stand.... and some tools ..................and grease...........)

Rideorglide, you should use a wet/dry sand paper. You can get it online, auto parts stores, or Home Depot. The abrasive side is usually black in color and the back usually has wet/dry and the grit coarseness on it. Make sure to use it wet. You can use mineral spirits or water. The fluid acts as a carrier for the abraded surface and stops the paper from loading up. I ussually start with 400 grit then 600 then 1000.

Don't get regular sand paper for wood working, it usually will fall apart if you wet it.

Dude, I would send you a pic of the game room, except you might show the wife, and I would never be allowed past the end of the driveway ever again.

That's just the organized part of my workspace. It's about 5' deep (partial garage build out) and I'm working right at the threshold of the open garage door (brrr).
I'm thinking of seling my Hardrock and Jimi . I'm also stripping the parts off the LeTour and just selling the frame since I've yet to find anyone who will pay for the complete bike. That will leave me with the silver Trek, my Avocado, and perhaps my current build (if I can ride it).

I may just throw the Volkscycle together and see if anyone will give me $30 for it.

I still haven't gotten around to any wheel building yet.

So...
Now that the cold snap is over...
the Franken-build is slowly progressing again.
Here, it is almost done (just needs rear brake cable and housing). I've stolen the wheels off the Le Tour (700x25...I think, running 120 psi), and some Funky Purple Pedals from the takeoff bin at the LBS.
As you can see by the seatpost, it's a bit small for me. Therefore, I'll be pulling the cranks and maybe the bar and shifters to put on the bargan($50) Nashbar touring frame (56 cm) I got a couple weeks ago....

I have to say that I LOVE THESE PEDALS!
VERY grippie and spin effortlessly.
I just can't see them on a green frame, though...
