Another Mountain Climb Video and Pics
Again Hillbasher and I on GMR this time heading to the village. Eventhough it was a sunny day, it was much cooler than two days ago. Some big rocks in the road but that wasn't the problem. Right at the top of the final climb before the road levels out to the village we hit some slushy ice on the road. 30-40 yard stretch.
My crank just flew to the down position. For a second or two, I thought I snapped the crankarm but it was my wheel spinning in the ice. Quickly dismounted with thoughts to walk across the icy section. Holy bejeepers my shoes were sliding downhill with me in them! We managed our way across but encountered another section very shortly after. The climbing was pretty much all done and figuring we'd encounter much more as we neared the dark cold corners of the road, we decided to turn back. I know I'm not that excited about busting my head just to say we hit the village.
Just about 3 miles shy of the village which is a 5000 ft climb, so we had fun!
We found a sunny spot so the Wardrobe Master could change outfits for the descent!
A poster asked if anyone had ever told me where to stick the camera on a climbing ride. So I asked HB if he had any wishes, if you don't understand what I'm asking in the video.
