Need Wheels
I am searching for a good set of wheels that will hold up to my weight. I am currently 300 pounds yet still a very active person. I am starting to ride because running sucks and I need to lose weight. I am down from over 400 so this is the next step. I went on my first ride the other day and did 20 miles. Feel great and can't wait to get back out there, I have definitely found a new passion. I just got a Trek Madone 5.2 but don't have much faith in the Racer x Lite wheels. Yes they have a 5 year warranty but I would rather spend the cash and get a stronger wheel right off the bat. I am willing to pay for quality, what would you recommend?

Talk to a good wheelbuilder. Someone local is ideal, but prowheelbuilder, wheelbuilder, bfwg, and psimet are all known for making good wheels. Seriously, 32 spokes, double butted, tensioned correctly, etc will do you fine. You don't need a tankish wheel, but if you build that to a velocity fusion or deep v it will stop a speeding train. good builders build wheels that work and last.
