584 miles mtd.
With a ride planned on Sunday morning and two more days of commuting, should end the month with right around 700 miles.

Genetics have failed me
520 miles for August finished off with yesterday's CX race and the painful 20 mile ride home afterwards into the headwind. I can't remember my legs being that sore all year.

This is my first full month that I've tracked with my GPS. My old Garmin GPS III+ allows me to save the GPX file and I can upload the route to some websites. It's kind of nice to help keep track.
ANYWAY: I've got 462.02 miles so far for the month. Looks like I'll have to do 40 miles tomorrow. (About 9,600 ft of climbing total for the month.)
VERY possible. Even if I'm a NewbaClyde.

680 miles. But my goal was 700miles. I had a bad week with rain, flat tires, and a dentist appointment. I was able to regain some of the ground I lost that week.

480 for me, I got the same total as last month. I had a shot at 500 but missed a couple days last week (oh well!).

I've been making steady progress since I started in April, and I finally topped 500/month. I've also dropped 25lb. September will have me off the bike for a week while I vacation out west, but my goal remains another 500 mile month.
August - 569
July - 478
June - 345
May - 291
April - 113 (partial month)

921 miles for August, pushing me well over 7,000 miles for the year so far, and looks like I'll be able to get in yet another century this weekend.

760 miles for the month...2 centuries and 360 miles total between the 22nd and 27th put me over the top. It'd been over a year (June 09) since I'd passed 500 miles per month.

499.72 miles, which I'm rounding up to say I hit my goal. just so that Beanz knows I'm not a complete wuss, that's 17,213 feet of climbing
it was a tough month, with two business trips and bike-crash recovery taking away at least 10 days of cycling opportunities. and I don't ride on Sundays either, so I start at a slight disadvantage.
in fact this morning I was at only 440, so I did three outings of 10 miles each during the day and then got on the trainer after dark for the last 30 miles, which I finished up at 11:59. I know, "trainer miles" aren't "real miles" but I tell you, it is quite an experience to feel how fast your legs have to turn to go 30 and 35 without the aid of a descent. it was inspiring to get a small taste of what it will be like when I'm down another 35#. and another. and another. and this will be the only way to get in miles once winter sets in...
due to the travel etc I only dropped 5# this month, but I feel in much better shape than in July. I'm down a couple inches in the waist, wearing clothes I haven't worn in years. best of all, my BMI just dipped below 40 for the first time in quite awhile ... no more wearing the "morbid obesity" tag! just 100# to go now

Ended the month with 698 miles on the odometer and just passed 4,000 miles for the year. September should be a good month too. This weekend have a ride around Lake Tahoe (71 miles) on the schedule.

Squeezed in another 20miles yesterday doing the Tuesday night races.
So that ends August with 540 miles. Not too bad.

Okay...now I feel like a bike weirdo. I never tallied up an entire month before. Here are my August totals.
855.1 training ride miles (according to bike computer)
About 80 more slow miles commuting and doing errands around town (about 20 extra miles per week).
