Rode 50 today...
 

It's a new personal record. Could have done more, but the other guys wanted to quit and I went along. It's just as well. the remaining roadway was pretty busy.

I really need to get my speed up. We were doing 15mph for some of the way but 10 mph for the bulk. We were passed by many, and passed none. :innocent:

I guess that will come with time. eh?

Congratulations!! I did my first 50 mile ride last weekend. My speed was probably about like yours...I only averaged 12.3mph. All in all I'm happy with it but I know if I could get it up a notch, I'd have more opportunity to ride some long group rides. I'm not sweating it though. I'm already so far ahead of where I thought I'd be and still having fun! Sounds like you are too, plus, you have other riders at your level to share the fun with!
