280.5 Miles Last Week, 8.4# Weight Loss
I really put an effort into getting maximum mileage on the bike last week. I even ran most of my errands on the bike clocking over 50 miles on 3 separate days W/a best 1 day tally of 60.4 miles.
I'm down to 272.2# from 280.6# last week. Total loss of 49.6# over 15 weeks. (started @ 321.8# in January) I also got into my 42" waist pants. I was wearing 46" pants 15 weeks ago. I added 2 more holes to my belt. I'm hoping to average 6# per week over the next 12 weeks to get down to 200# for the LX Nationals (drag racing) championships on July 17th & 18th. That should take off @ least .10 seconds ET.:thumb: Last year was bracket racing. (I won) http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=176298 (PowerWagon896 is my username on many sites) This year there's also going to be a "heads up" N/A 5.7 class in which my car would be very competitive anyway @ my 300#ish bulk. Taking 100# from the equasion should make me very, very hard to beat. I also have a new 3400 RPM stall comvertor to be installed, that should be good for another .20 ET.:D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-Sbz2Etl_A |
Way to go..Keep it up

We are all jealous..Sorta , Wish people would let me alone so I could do that kind of mileage.. I might well find myself in some far away location and not know the way home..

XCSKIBUM: I'm in the same boat. have gotten down to 44 pants but would like to get back to 36s. won't mention the exact weight but let's just say I was relieved to hear my bike was rated for 300# of rider + gear.
I typically get in 100 miles per week but could probably push it to 200m if I commuted every day and did a long weekend ride. biggest problem for me is the hunger that accompanies long rides...maybe I need to eat more on the bike. can I ask what your diet consists of? low carb / low fat / etc or are you riding so much you can pretty much eat whatever you want? 6 pounds per week is unbelievable, just unbelievable. I count myself lucky if I can lose 2 pounds per week... thanks in advance for any words of inspiration! |
That's a heckuva lot of riding. Good job.
|
Fantastic! That's a whole messa miles.

Way to go man. :thumb:
You do realize though, that with all this skiing and biking ****, you're going to have to trade that Charger in on a Subaru, right? It's the rules, you know. :D |

I count myself lucky if I can lose 2 pounds per week... thanks in advance for any words of inspiration! I even eat (85% lean) hamburgers cooked on the grill W/Arnolds rye thins for a bun & the slice of regular Kraft cheese W/mustard & a thick slice of sweet onion. I often have Ore-Ida krinkle cut fries fixed in the oven. (avoid the extra crispy, they have a lot more fat). We usually have a salad on Friday night W/about 6-8 oz of skinless chicken breast or 97% fat free ham & yes, I use 2 (heaping) tablespoons of rgeular chunky blue cheese dressing. I find that as long as I don't exceed about 25 miles in a day I do OK W/O eating on the road. I do often stop every 12 miles or so for a couple of Labatt Blue Lights on the days I push the envelope. The light beer just seems to sweat out W/O a significant weight gain. I do count/track all that I eat/drink. I also carry cereal bars (Great Value 90 calorie from Walley World) & drink some SoBe or other low sugar drinks on the road. This week I am going to try to limit to 25 miles per day W/O the beer breaks. |

Wow - - a 12-second (modern) Charger? Just wow. If I can get .25 off the ET it will hold the N/A 5.7 LX record (the current record is 11.822) . 100# less weight & 600 RPM more stall on the convertor should do that. It ran 11.306 on a 125 shot of nitrous, that ran out as I hit the traps (probably cost me .2 ET) that IS the stock block 5.7 LX "poweradder" record. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhG0KlXEOnU:thumb: I'm hoping a full bottle on a 175 shot will get me into the 10s. |
nice charger! And CONGRATS on the tremendous mileage and weight loss!
Oddest of all places on the web to get into this, but here is a vid of my toyota tacoma. The 1/4 was cut down to 1/8 due to rain earlier in the night, but you get the idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kypGhDvUDSg |
