Until then, tell your girlfriend it snows much less in Seattle than it does in New York. At least that's my impression; out here it snows a few times a year, but might not 'accumulate' during a year, so just melt as it hits the ground. Or, we might get one morning a year where we wake up to a full inch on the ground. Beyond that is rare. Also, while we get our share of rain, the humidity in the air isn't bad - I grew up in Connecticut, and hated the humid summers. Out here is wet winters and dry summers. But I think they canceled summer this year.
Neither, actually; it's dirty Lake Union, with Gas Works Park, Queen Anne Hill, and the Aurora Bridge in the background. Here's another pic without the foreground clutter:

Mine lives my walk in finished basement when it is not directly under my butt. At work it is three feet behind me in my cubicle. Good ole Evil has my back.

My primary bike lives in my office right now. We've been doing a lot of post-work rides, so I just leave it here.
Pay no attention to the empty bottles. My co-workers bring me their recycling for me to take home once a week. There's a lot of it this week...

Bike@office = awesome.
My most ridden bikes live outside my apartment door, there's a rack for them under a staircase that leads up to the next level of apartments. It is outdoors, but it has a roof.
I also have two in the garage at my mom and dad's.

Mine lives in the Dining Room suspended from the ceiling. Last Christmas my wife decorated it for our big family dinner. The others are in the garage.

The Black Pearl lives in the back of the van. Radagast the Beige-and-Black and Orion live in a locked shed. They don't get out much lately.

Don't all single women keep their bike in their dining room (and the second bike in the living room) ?

Not safe for work
My bike lives in my home office/living room in front of the filing cabinets. I have to roll her out of the way several times a day to reach client files. According to the bike computer, the bike will travel back and forth in front of the cabinets a total of 1 kilometre each winter just so I can get files.

My wife wont let me have it in the bed with us at night, so I have to settle for keeping it in a walk-in-closet.

It's sitting with all the other vehicles. Four hanging off the ceiling and two on a wall bike stand. My head just recently learned to duck when getting out of the cars.

Sadly, I don't have room in the house for bikes and my 4 kids... plus the wife would not be happy. My two bikes and several others are in my shed, the kids bikes are in a bike rack in the backyard. In total, there's about 13 rideable bikes, maybe 3 others in pieces in the workshop.

When in the condo for the winter it stays in the living room behind the sofa. When traveling, camping or on the boat, it stays in the van. No way it spends the night outside in the rain. Bike on one side, lashed to wall of van, wife on other side. The van also has my work stand and a bucket organizer with seat lid (for the computer work station) that is set up with mostly bike tools and parts. So far, so good.

Mine lives out on the deck. We're in a cedar log home made from 8" timbers and surrounded by trees.

My road bike, and my wife's, are in the living room. The garage is where we keep our mountain bikes, the kids bikes, and the three project bikes I have collected.

i saw a couple people at least already said the same thing but yeah mine stay in my living room. Well living room/dining room really. One of the huge downsides of having such a small place.
One is staying with my dad though since he doesn't have one (well a beach cruiser but it isn't great for longer distances obviously) so i lent him one of mine. I've got a tricycle that stays outside in the driveway though too, it's a junker that i got for free and fixed up just enough to be rideable as a grocery getter, which it's good for but not worth the hassle of storing inside, honestly if i walked outside one day and it was gone i really wouldn't care all that much and i have a feeling they'd end up having to come back to ask me how i kept the thing from falling apart.
But yeah, for the most part they stay in my living/dining room. Feels kind of empty in here right now though since my brother is borrowing my track bike so i've got 2 that aren't here that usually are. the extra space is nice but i miss the track bike.
