Back from vacation. Rode some. Ate lots. Put on almost 2lbs. But I've been hitting it super hard and weight dropped off fast again.

July 4: 245.2
July 13: 241.2

This week was pretty strange. To this point I have seen a steady decline in my weight, but this week I bounced up and down. Not sure what is going on there.... Salty foods? The biggest shocker for me was I did 64 miles on Saturday. Sunday I got on the scale and found I had gone *UP* 3 lbs. WTF?

Hey, I'll pile on here.

June 28th: 255 lbs
July 13th: 248.5 lbs
Goal: to stick to my plan and lose another pound or more in the next week.

The last two weeks were the beginning of my diet-again. Ah, the joys of the initial speedy weight loss at the beginning of the process. It'll slow down.

I'm using the daily plate to track my calories.

I've felt mentally stuck about dieting since I've not been able to ride my bike for the last year or more due to chronic shoulder condition. But I have a splendid recumbent on the way so this is kind of a celebration-in-advance.

Haven't really ridden much, but I've been very active around the house doing this and that. Week 28 hasn't been all that great to me, but I expected it given the family cook-outs and such. My goal right now is just to maintain my weight until which time I can summon another serious effort to drop pounds again. I'll do that by keeping active and not eating out-of-control, I can't just 'give-in' because the back-slide is way too easy. I was up 3 on Monday, but I'm already back down 2 today by eating light salads and such, still Monday is the weight in day, so it shall be.

Week 2 - 295 lbs (start)
Week 3 - 291.5 lbs
Week 4 - 284.4 lbs
Week 5 - 282.5 lbs
Week 6 - 280.2 lbs
Week 7 - 281.3 lbs
Week 8 - 282.0 lbs
Week 9 - 280.0 lbs
Week 10 - 278 lbs
Week 11 - 279.5 lbs
Week 12 - 274.3 lbs
Week 13 - 272.7 lbs
Week 14 - 271.8 lbs
Week 15 - 272.5 lbs
Week 16 - 267.9 lbs
Week 17 - 269.8 lbs
Week 18 - 269.4 lbs
Week 19 - 271.2 lbs
Week 20 - 270.5 lbs
Week 21 - 268.1 lbs
Week 22 - 274.5 lbs
Week 23 - 271.5 lbs
Week 24 - 269.5 lbs
Week 25 - 268.5 lbs
Week 26 - 267.2 lbs
Week 27 - 267.9 lbs
Week 28 - 271.2 lbs

Apparently I missed posting last week. I suppose it is not surprising since I went back to work last week. I've lost 8 pounds in the last two weeks and I hit a HUGE milestone for me. Since I started riding I've now officially lost over 100 pounds. What a great feeling.

My riding goals for this week are to ride as much as possible. But I have to take it slow and easy. I road with a community ride on Monday night, and I did way to much. I only road 16 miles, and for about the first 10 I was feeling pretty good, but the last 6 were bad, I did not htink I was going to make it home. Needless to say, it was way to much less than 3 weeks out from major surgery.

Highest Weight: 442 (1/21/09)
January: 375
Current weight: 340 and dropping
