Any real worries with this bike?
320lb Clyde - street riding only - 15 - 25 miles or more occasionally.

Love the internal shifter. . .

Comments - good bad? I'll take them all.

Or go half the price and get this 21 speed and add my own fenders/rack?

It'd be nice to go cheaper if I can. Dumb question - can you put kickstands on these?

Nothing that I can see, if you are just riding for that short of distance. It's bloody perfect, for a short commute or a trip to the store.

They both have enough spokes to carry the heaviest, but it would be best to have the shop check that the spoke tension is over 100 kg. The internal hub requires more relaxation of pedalling when downshifting on hills, but is able to downshift when you are stopped at traffic lights.
The derailler bike would take a kickstand that fits to the rear of the RH chainstay, as one going behind the bottom bracket would interfere with the shifter cable.

I ended up getting the bike with the derailler. It was 300 less and seemed to have everything I wanted. My son needs a better bike, he is inheriting the fuji crosstown. . . Hopefully, it'll be here next week.

Enjoy - Marin makes a quality product. I've put 6000 miles on my Marin in two years on some pretty rough roads. No major problems.
