My turn to start this thread rolling. I'm having a good week, down a couple of pounds and getting closer to leaving the 260's. If history repeats itself I'll have an upswing soon but then go down again. What I've been doing is to go back and look at the weights over a weeks time, then I can see that on days were I weigh more in the current week are equal to the lightest days in previous weeks. Slowly I'm shrinking....slowly, but it is progress, and good progress too.

Week 2 - 295 lbs (start)
Week 3 - 291.5 lbs
Week 4 - 284.4 lbs
Week 5 - 282.5 lbs
Week 6 - 280.2 lbs
Week 7 - 281.3 lbs
Week 8 - 282.0 lbs
Week 9 - 280.0 lbs
Week 10 - 278 lbs
Week 11 - 279.5 lbs
Week 12 - 274.3 lbs
Week 13 - 272.7 lbs
Week 14 - 271.8 lbs
Week 15 - 272.5 lbs
Week 16 - 267.9 lbs
Week 17 - 269.8 lbs
Week 18 - 269.4 lbs
Week 19 - 271.2 lbs
Week 20 - 270.5 lbs
Week 21 - 268.1 lbs
Week 22 - 274.5 lbs
Week 23 - 271.5 lbs
Week 24 - 269.5 lbs
Week 25 - 268.5 lbs
Week 26 - 267.2 lbs
Week 27 - 267.9 lbs
Week 28 - 271.2 lbs
Week 29 - 266.3 lbs
Week 30 - 264.8 lbs
Week 31 - 268.4 lbs
Week 32 261.7 lbs

Actually I wasn't too surprised Monday's weight was up. I think I had been dehydrated the previous week. These weights, which are my Monday morning au naturale weights, normally track pretty consistently about 2.5 pounds less than my Thursday evening WW weigh-ins (for which I'm usually clothed ), but recently the WW weights have not shown as much of a drop, so I'm thinking that 230 was an abberation. Maybe with extra care in eating and extra effort in exercising this week I'll break that 230 mark next Monday. I'm optimistic, since this morning's non-official weight showed 229. But like I said, that's unofficial - I usually avoid the scale except for Monday morning and Thursday evening - my weight fluctuates too much to track it any closer. But I'm determined to get under that 230 mark! It'll be the first time I've been in the 220s in about 30 years.

With my impromptu century ride, I was able to make my goal of 500 miles in July. Unfortunately, I built up a ravenous hunger and pigged out for most of the rest of the weekend. I was pretty ashamed of that, but I figured I could parlay that into my advantage. The way I saw it, my metabolic rate should have been shocked by the long ride as well as a significantly higher calorie intake. It obviously worked and I have kept the furnace burning as I'm already down below 305 as of this post.

Next step: 299!!!

Looks like I need to step up the time spent on the bike. Seems like it's getting easier to ride the loop I've been riding so last night I added a mile or two of dirt/gravel road with some rollers. Nice change, maybe I'll incorporate it into the loop. No matter the weight is still in the right direction.

I need to get in on this. I touched 240 last month and I'll be damned if I have to buy new jeans.

I've had to live with a couple of weeks of less than one pound lost. In fact, my last two weeks at WW I've only lost .6 and .4 for a two-week total of one pound. But I'll get through it, as I know you will. It's tough, but hey - we're a tough bunch of Clydes, right?
