Am i Considered a Clydesdale?
Saw that 200lb is the label for Clydes but my question is this: I'm 5'10" tall, 215 and 14% body fat. I'm just a bulky guy but not overweight or tall. Am i still in the clydesdale category?
Just curious that's all. |
yes

If you're 200 + of soild muscle, low fat and big huge strong powerful legs, no.:D
Only if you are fat old and slow like the rest of us!:p |
I have never seen a FAT Clydesdale Horse. Fat humans, yup, but wear the Clyde's label with pride. It means you can pull better than the rest of the little ponies.

You're a Clyde. You may not be dealing with some of the issues many here are (such as losing weight) but you will have to deal with other issues that a Clyde typically faces (equipment designed for lighter riders, larger sizes of cycling clothing, etc.) Welcome to the herd.

Oh lovely...another one...
Just kidding, and as CACycling said, welcome to the herd! |
Look at the bright side, you're not an 'uber-clyde'...

If I remember correctly Clydesdale comes from triathlons where racers over 200 lbs or 6' tall are considered to be at a disadvantage and are thus allowed to race in a separate category.
|
A clydesdale is a large very strong magnificent animal capable of pulling very heavy loads all day long. Is that what you are? If so, then yes, you are.

6' 3" , 190#- Am I a Clyde?

Well thanks for the welcome guys! I was just unsure but now that i think of it, i feel i do have the advantage in alot of things. For example, if i were to get in a fight with a skinny, 5'10" and 150lb rider, i'd have AT LEAST 50 lbs on him. haha. And also, i'd rather look muscular than bulimic. lol
