Too Many Bikes?

I know, you can never have too many right?

Here is my latest addition.
  • 80s lugged-steel frame (Raleigh), freshly powder-coated
  • Single speed (not fixed)
  • New drivetrain, wheels, brakes and levers
  • 700x32 Pasela tires
  • Recycled pedals and Brooks saddle

I believe the gearing is 46x18. I'm considering switching to 46x19. This is my first single-speed bike, and I haven't ridden it enough to know for sure what to change.

Depends on your wife/significant other and the room you have

I own half a dozen or so. All for different uses plus to share with friends and family. Some folks really like bikes as decorations/industrial art and proudly display them in their living rooms. Others are reminded of good ol' times gone by or a particular era and like the historicity. If you can afford it, I say "why not?"

People collect everything. I remember seeing a video of a guy who lined every wall of his house with empty beer cans from around the world. Impressive! Weird, but impressive... and it made him happy. Peace.
