I just snuck in a lunch time ride, it was great!

I've been frustrated with my lack of riding lately. Lots of stuff getting in the way at work, had to travel for a wedding last weekend, blah, blah blah.

This morning, I got up early and loaded the mountain bike in the trunk. Drove to Subway which now opens at 6, bought a sandwich to have after my planned ride. At lunch, I drove over to a park about 3 miles from the office, changed, unloaded, did a 30 minute ride. I covered about 4 miles, not blistering but just riding around and exploring. Ate my sandwich on the way back to the office. Managed to get back to the office in just under 1 hour.

The weather was perfect, sunny and about 67 degrees. Got the heart pumping, it felt great. I might make that a habit during these frigid cold winter months we have ahead here in San Diego

Good idea, I sometimes go for a 45-60 minute ride in the early morning before leaving for work. I need lights for the first half but on the way back the sun is coming up. With the end of daylight time approaching I should get some help until the days get even shorter.
