11/29 = 236.0 lbs
12/06 = 229.5 lbs
12/13 = 229.0 lbs
12/20 = 228.5 lbs
12/27 = 232.0 lbs
01/03 = 228.5 lbs Mileage = 119.7
01/10 = 232.0 lbs Mileage = 58.63
01/17 = 226.5 lbs Mileage = 89.37
01/23 = 224.0 lbs Mileage = 57.96
01/31 = 224.0 lbs Mileage = 75.82
02/07 = 226.0 lbs Mileage = 69.31
02/14 = 224.5 lbs Mileage = 71.23, YTD Mileage = 542.02
02/21 = 223.5 lbs I'll take it. Went out to dinner on Friday night and went a little overboard; went snowboarding on Saturday - a combination of fatigue (it was an 18-hour day, boarding and travel together) and food provided during transport lead to some less-than-stellar eating choices. In short, I'd guess I'd be down at least one more pound had it not been for that.* The good news is that I'm keeping up with my riding, so I'm happy about that.

* As I was typing this, I realized that I'm being rather obsessive over one stinkin' pound I needs to learn to enjoy the little successes, no matter how little they are

11/11/2010, 303 lbs.
02/14/2011, 285 lbs.
02/21/2011, 283.5 lbs.

Which, any loss this week was a surprise. FELT like I was overeating and didn't work out or ride near as much as I should. Crappy weather and monster headache Saturday.

Last week 279 lbs
This week 278 lbs

Down a pound! Last week I measured everything I ate and kept a record my meals. Other than Saturday night (pizza day) where I consumed 2200 calories, the rest of the week was 1500 to 1600 calories a day. Looks like increasing the fitness is my focus and this week I'm increasing the fitness aspect by 30 minutes each day.

Wow down 6.6#'s this week! What a great week. Beautiful wife helped out by having me perform many extra curricular activities around the house. ;-0 Well the 14th was VDay. OK guy's and gal's what ja thinking? I mean like splittin wood and gettin the spring garden ready for plantin. Well that explanation may not be clear. Reminds me of when we first got married. One day when it was pourin rain at the office all day, I called in to be off. Told boss that I wanted to plant tomato plants. Well it wasn't rainin where we lived 10 miles away, honest. As it was pourin rain, he told fellow office workers I was plantin tomato's. They ragged me a bunch over that. True story.
Anyway, trust me, she helped me out a lot this week.;-0 Thing is she didn't lose any weight. Go figure.
Say's we were so successful together, she is goin to do something special with me as a mini reward. Also says she has bigger and better plans for this week. Good thing I don't have a real job to go to. :-)
Seriously, I have noticed a really good week after a bad week. Maybe I get pissed off and am more motivated havein to post to you guys. I really love this site.
Thanks to all for participating.

I did my first real ride of the year today - 10 miles on the new bike I built. I cannot say it was fun (a lot of suffering) but it was good. My plan is to return to commuting to work 3 days a week. Unfortunately we are supposed to have 3-8 inches of snow tonight. I have to fix the tire on my cross bike - perhaps I should put the studded tires back on.

Down to 287 which I am happy about, I had a sinus infection and did miss two work outs. I found a deal on a Caud 9 road bike today and I am going to test ride it on Saturday. Feeling better and ready for a good week. Today brings total weight loss 37 pounds since Thanksgiving. Keep Moving!

01/05/2011 - 196 lbs.
01/12/2011 - 194 lbs.
01/19/2011 - 193 lbs.
01/24/2011 - 190 lbs.
01/31/2011 - 189 lbs.
02/07/2011 - 188 lbs.
02/16/2011 - 189 lbs.
02/21/2011 - 186 lbs.

I am pretty much there as when I originally set 180 as a target it was just a number I picked and it seemed so far off that can't recall the exact reason for using 180. My Doctor and a few others think that where I am now, around the 185 lbs. mark is pretty good.

Not sure what to think about it?

My goals for the current week are:

5 hours of cardio exercise at my exercise hr.

Follow my meal / nutrition plan.

1/31= 327
2/2= 322
2/6= 314.5
2/13=308
2/20=302.5

Lost 5 or 5.5 depending on which scale I use. I will take either. I was hoping for 5-6 and I will go with that again, which will put me under 300lbs for the first time in a long time!

I keep falling off the wagon and then I get lost on the way back. I am quite disappointed in myself for not dropping a pound. I did weigh this morning and was 257. It doesn't count in my book cause it was not a monday weigh in.

Just because it wasn't on your weigh-in day doesn't mean it didn't happen. Hang onto it, and work through the rest of the week to build on it. Don't let it go to waste.

Getting my groove back. Thursday last week was warm (60+ degrees!) here in Philadelphia, so I got on my bike for the few miles to a class for work. A weekend at a dance festival (Saratoga Spring's "Dance Flurry") didn't help as much as one would think: sure, I kept moving through swing and contras, and even the occasional waltz. My left heel, which had been keeping me from running, didn't bother me one bit. The problem was the food! Amazing crepes, Belgian-style "French" fries, yummy sushi -- there are plenty of restaurants near the convention center to keep weary dancers from bonking.

Yeah, that's why I needed the fried potatoes with horseradish sauce: to keep from bonking.

With the bursa near my Achilles tendon officially recovered, I tried a few steps on the treadmill last night. I cold feel the pain starting up again -- right where the back of my shoe crosses my Achilles. So, new shoes may be in my future.
