3rd. LBS today, finally have a bike on lawaway!

Hello All,
Been having trouble finding a LBS i like, and one that carries Trek bikes. I stumbled on this one today, forgot it was even there. The staff was very kind and cordial. Helped me with everything, answered my questions.

Since this is my first bike and having financial problems, i have to start out with something low in price. Been thinking about the Trek 7100. They had them there, and i got to test it out in the parking lot. I really liked how it felt. But, they had 2 other models for the same price as the 7100. They were the FX 7.1, and the Navigator. Was told the Navigator and 7100 were similar, but different tires. I liked these 2 the most because they have the front suspension and bigger seats.

I went with the 7100 as it is the one i have been researching. I am very excited about it! I can't wait to pay it off and start riding it everyday! I put a third down, and have 2 months to pay it off, but will pay it off within one month, or sooner.

Just wanted to tell you my news and get your opinion on it. Thanks everybody!

I really dig my Navigator, but the guy at the LBS told me that the 7100 is basically the same bike. Good choice!

Great, congratulations, now to start your training program, start a walking program if you have not already, this is to give the legs pre-riding training, also start doing exercises that are needed to build up the core muscles, as this is an area many new riders have trouble with.

Add another congrats, and I hope you have the chance to ride it like crazy.

I picked up a frameset from a bike shop last night (an orange Salsa Vaya), and I'm going to start building it tonight - still a few more pieces to pick up, but I'm trying to be patient while buying parts, budget wise.
