Can I join the party?

I'm clocking in at 269 after starting my "2 Fat to Cat 4" journey at 274 a little more than a week ago.

I'm not on my bike for until I'm around 250, as I'm 6 months out from ACL replacement and I want to get a little leaner before I go ripping out of my clipless pedals.

My goal is to log 15 miles walking.

When I'm now off my 4 week forced recovery break. I watched my eating real close and was able to still lose 5 lbs. Loose skin really starting to tighten up. For all of you out there plugging away day after day, week after week, month after month; Keep up the good work. I can't describe how good I feel about myself. I want you to experience this for yourself.

Good week for me! 5 pounds and I met my 20 mile goal this weekend with a 22.2 mile ride. Hopefully this week will stay on the same track, plan on a 30 miler this weekend.

With my heaviest weight being somewhere north of 435 lbs. back in the late summer of 2009, I've been working my way down since October of 2009.

1/3 = 280.0
1/10 = 273.4
1/17 = 272.2
1/24 = 271.8
1/31 = 269.6
2/7 = 265.4
2/14 = 271.8
2/21 = 272.0
2/28 = 271.8
3/7 = 262.6
3/14 = 267.0
3/21 = 265.4

I’m heading the right way. It seems like right now my body likes being around 265 lbs. It’s not a big deal, because every day it is a leaner, meaner 265 and being fit is more important than being skinny to me.

My goal for last week was 5 lbs, missed it by 1 lb but any loss I will gladly take. I will just work that much harder this week.
Goal for this week will be 5 lbs.

I lost three this week, which brings my slow and steady pace to 15lbs since Christmas. No surprise that the week I lose three was the first time I was on my bike since Christmas. Did 25 miles last week, more to come this week. YEAH SPRING IN NJ!

I had a good week thats for sure. I think it would have been better, but Saturday and Sunday were rough ones on the old diet haha. Nonetheless I'm still upbeat and looking to drop 3lbs this week. My doctor says he can see me losing another 30-40lbs by the time I meet with him in 4 months.

On a side note, does anyone have any idea what is wrong w/my ticker? I update it, but it still is all compacted.

So, I wanna throw my bit in also.

My goal is to get down to at least 300 lbs. and have myself trained and ready to ride my 50 miler in the Tour de Cure June 11.

This last week was a bad one got to ride about 5 miles total. Cold ran through the family. I think we are all finally over it now.

Losing confidence in my home scale. Might be time for a new one. I will check my scale against the one at the gym repeatedly this week to average out the errors between them. So next week I will likely show higher, but have a much better sense of what is correct.

20 lbs lost so far!

Hopefully the snow forecasted for later this week won't actually happen or it'll be a light snowfall that melts within hours of falling.

jethro I rode a bike for the first time last night in probably 13+ years, it was a quick 20 minute ride since by the time I picked it up it was already 9:00pm!

Tonight I have my stuff laid out, as soon as I get home I am going to take off and see what I can do!

I was given a Specialized FSR Sport by a family friend that was not being used anymore, I am hoping it suits me well for a bit.

It looks like this one below, a few different parts were added by the original owner, I will try and get some pictures this week of mine.

Hi 2F2C - Apologies for the delayed welcome! (I just saw that your post slipped in before mine). Out of curiosity, is the 250lb mark a threshold that you're setting? or did the Dr tell you to wait?

Welcome to the group - we're a good group, here. A bit cantankerous at times, maybe, but still a good group no less

My trick of "don't post on Monday; wait a day to work off the weekend" didn't help this time. Ah, well. It was Phil's birthday. Friends came over to help him celebrate turning 30 (in some non-decimal base system). There was tasty food, and not as much time at the gym.
