ex-Clyde rewards himself with a new bike (N=4)!
So, I have been under 200 pounds for about a month. I held off purchasing my reward until I was sure, I wouldn't pop back above 200... Yesterday, I purchased my reward... A 2011 Specialized Roubaix Comp 105
I took it for its first ride this morning. I left the original seat on for the first ride to give it a try. While the seat wasn't too bad, and I'm pretty sure it could have been further adjusted to eliminate the minor discomfort, I went ahead and put my new Brooks B17 Imperial on the bike. I have been using B17's on my steel touring bike and Dahon folder, but decided that the internal relief of the Imperial might better suite the Roubaix.
Love this bike!

So cool! Nice job losing weight, and I love your reward choice. I'd also like someday to have a few different bikes for various types of rides.

Very nice reward, myrridin. I told myself back when I started losing that I'd do the same thing when I broke 200, but sadly for me, economic reality has put the kibosh on that plan. But if I can't do it, I'm glad you can! Congrats!
