I did it!! - completed my first ever metric century

Feeling quite proud today Finished my first metric century and it was a blast! I managed to ride with some friends who are experienced riders and they dragged me around the course at a very fast (for me) 17.4mph average over the 65 miles.

I felt great at the end and could easily have gone further. When I started riding in September I never imagined I would be able to do this Now to plan an imperial century!!

Thanks Craig! Now if I could just catch you in the weight loss department, I always seem to be 10 pounds behind

Wow, I seldom have even a 17MPH *max*, I'd have to have an after burner to average that speed.

Outstanding! I completed 70 miles of the Tour of the Tucson Mountains and barely averaged 13 mph. I cannot go that far at 17.

Thanks everyone.

This community has been a constant source of inspiration for me, it is hard to express the feeling of solidarity I feel with so many members of the forum. That plus I want to outdo some of Mr. Beanz awesome rides
