Love the mountain stages. I don't think anyone will beat AC but you never know. Tomorrow is some downhill in the dirt and the announcers said AC has stated he's frightened of this descent. Nibali is a great descender but not sure how much time he could gain on a dirt descent if AC backs off. Plus he'd more than likely make it up on the climb.

As the announcers say, it's not one stage that will wear down the riders, it's the accumulation and recovery of the next 2 tough stages that will factor. But as for now, AC looks the best.

I like the finsih today. Help me work and you can have the stage!

sancle1, Three minutes is tough to make up when the leader is in such good form, even ifAC has a mechanical problem.

I missed it today. But I have been watching most of the race. Do I think anyone will beat him? Only if he crashes, and gets hurt. I really think this next stage will either make the field, or not. If he finishes close to the leaders for the stage, he should take it all. If his fears take over, we could see his lead cut in half. But that's not saying he still shouldn't win. I do think he walks away with it when all is said and done.

The good thing is that if the others want, it, they better attack the next couple of days which wil make for an exciting race.

The bad thing, they may feel they can't win then hang in a group which will make for a boring remainder of the tour. I watched a tour last year with Nibali and he was happy just to sit there hoping for the podium. So I don't expect much from him. Scarponi is an attacker on a good day but the last couple of days only hurt him.

What I like is when the leader doesn't have to attack, but does just to stamp his authority on the field. Lance did it like AC did the last couple of mtn stages. These guys have lots of hater fans but hey, it makes for a more exciting show!

I haven't seen today's stage yet (on my DVR) but this week with the Giro and the Tour of California I've been in cycling heaven. I don't like AC but he is a machine.

I know the Tour of California is on Versus although at midnight here on the East Coast as I keep falling asleep when commercials come on. Where is the Giro being televised?

I am loving the Tour of California! Today is individual time trials and I am hoping for a Team Shack win with either Horner or Levi!

AC is in true form this Giro, I have yet to see him really pressured for the overall. It is really the Contador show this Giro.
