I got a taste for a good Bavarian Hefe Weitzen while stationed in Schweinfurt Germany in the mid 80's while waiting for the Russian hoards to come streaming through the Fulda Gap.

That damm Hefe Weitzen is what's got me into the Clydesdale mess in the first place. I got out of the Army and kept drinking my beer, but left the running six miles a day with the Army.

I do, very much. It's a good thing that cheap beer is commonly crap beer here in the US. When I was in Argentina a dollar or two could buy a liter of pretty decent tasting beer - this was not good for me, but I was on vacation :D. I love the dark beers the most, especially when it feels like I have eaten a big meal after one pint.

I used to like beer, almost too much, now not so much. I occasionally drink one but its very rare these days.

Yesterday I had lunch in a small 'German Style' beer/wurst stube. While there a couple came in and asked it they had any 'american' beer. Wrong place to ask the question.

Frisco - Colorado.

Rarely drink the trinity (CoorsMillerBud) as its a waste of time. In the last 30 years I've drank my fair share (or more) of beer. And anymore, I prefer to drink mostly local brews. Utah is still catching up to reasonable alcohol rules. So anything more than 3.2% has to be be bought at either the brewery, or the state run liquor stores. If I drink a 3.2% beer, its likely someone put it in my hand for free... Hmmm, reminds me. Salt lake City Beerfest next Saturday.

Its been many years since I drank to be drunk, not worth the hassles or the waste of money.

I'm a big beer fan and I love trying new beers. Since I have been on my weight loss mission I have cut my beer intake down to about 1/4 of what I use to drink (and after drinking a lot I would get hungry). It's all about moderation now.

On another note, I'm going to Montreal in less than 2 weeks and I'm bringing my bike. I plan on riding all over the city and surrounding area, I will be stopping off at bars (among other places).

I like beer so much I too, brew my own.

Currently bottled and available are an IIPA and a Blonde Ale.

In fact I like the blonde so much I bought the ingredients for another batch on Saturday.

Probably brewing this weekend :D
