I have a theory that the more you ride, the more comfortable you are on a frame that's bigger than what most salesmen would put you on. I'm 6'2" and until I told the salesman that I'd ridden 3000 miles since Oct he wanted me in a 58 cm size. He then started showing me 60 cm frames.

I dunno. I could arguably ride a 54cm or 56cm frame, but the 54cm frames I tried all felt much more natural to me than the 56cm frames. I think a lot of it depends on personal preference. For those that don't know anything about fit, I'd recommend the Fit Calculator over at Competitive Cyclist. I went with the "Eddy Fit" and have been pretty pleased with it...
