Should be Italian racing red...and the right sleeve looks like a jockey's silks rather than than a cycling jersey...just sayin'...

mymojo 09-15-11 04:03 PM

The right sleeve is an homage to the TdF climbers jersey. Cuz I know how much we all love hills.

Ahhh...I see. The reference was lost on me since I don't follow pro bicycle racing in any form...

chefisaac 09-15-11 04:29 PM

me like

Is that "S" and "T" under the rearing horse? "S" and "F" ?

mymojo 09-15-11 07:02 PM

Scuderia Ferrari is the racing division of the company.

Since scuderia translates into "stable" it seemed appropriate to leave it on a Clydesdale jersey.

But now it stands for Scuderia Fatreari

ClydesMoose 09-16-11 01:30 AM

I dig this.

Buck_O 09-16-11 02:52 PM

This cracked me up.

Its so subtle most people probably wont even notice.

mymojo 09-16-11 03:43 PM

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Minimum order is six (and at that # its gonna be a bit pricey). So that means we need 5 others to say "I want one" before it becomes more than just a doodle.

chefisaac 09-16-11 04:06 PM

I want one.

Cychologist 09-16-11 04:59 PM

How much? How does the rate change with volume?

mymojo 09-16-11 05:12 PM

Here's the price list. We'd be doing the team jersey with the hidden zipper (because of the logo placement)

http://i528.photobucket.com/albums/d...ff/pricing.jpg

So we're looking at about $90 (plus a few $$ for shippping) with this vendor. Of course, I'm not married to Mt. Borah. If someone knows a a good vendor that has jerseys in Clyde sizes with better pricing, feel free to toss it out.

And here's the sizing chart, just to keep all the info in a single spot.

Sorry, a white background jersey for overweight guys? Moobs on parade? I think I'll pass. A solid darker color would be more flattering.

Buck_O 09-17-11 12:43 AM

It would make more sense for the jersey color to be red, which i think it will be. The white is probably just for the ease of use with the template for the graphics screening. Once the screen placement is figured out, you can put it on any color fabric you want.

ClydesMoose 09-17-11 01:05 AM

I like the red jersey idea. Ferraris are red ;) Or Yellow.

mymojo 09-17-11 11:25 AM

*bump*

Added colors to the rough draft. Sorry for the poor coloring job, but Im on pain meds today. :D

mymojo 09-20-11 05:53 AM

One last bump before I mothball this project.

Buck_O 09-21-11 01:14 AM

I like the idea, wish i had the extra funds to afford it at the moment, but i dont. However, i am book marking this thread, and i fully intend on having you post this again next season, and hopefully get more interest in it. I would love to have one.

ClydesMoose 09-21-11 05:28 AM

I would totally buy one if I had a job. :(

himespau 09-21-11 05:38 AM

If I had the funds, I'd join you, but I don't, so I won't.

+1 to this.

With the very limited summer we have up here already on it's last gasps, I'm all about not freezing to death when riding right now. I DO like the idea though and, if you're willing to throw it out there again come spring time, maybe we'll get the numbers together to make it happen.

love2pedal.com 09-21-11 09:36 AM

It is too bad you are mothballing this (for the time being). I think it would sell.

I was going to offer to produce this for you, but I would be worried about Ferrari taking offense and getting the dreaded letter from the Ferrari lawyer.

I think parody is protected from copyright infringement, but that wouldn't mean Ferrari wouldn't try to get me to cease selling them and causing me a big headache and lawyer fees.

I like it, and perhaps try working with love2pedal come later in the winter so we can have them next spring? I'm currently on a weight loss program and I might be more stable (and smaller) by then too. I'm not willing to spend much on clothing now that might not work next year. So, I'm in if this comes up again.

We are wrapping up the concept for our Clydesdale jersey. I will post it when it is a little further along in the design stage. For various reasons, we are not going to do the Ferrari design.

The concept looks like a fairly ornate European family crest with two Clydesdales prominently in there.

Here is a question:

There is a shield in the middle of the design (common in family crests). It is divided into 4 quadrants and we will put a wheel in one, world championship stripes in one and a checkered flag in one. That fourth quadrant I want to put a fork and knife in there. Is that too offensive? My wife thinks so. I tell her I think the self-deprecating humor will be appreciated.

What are your thoughts on this aspect?

Dan

P.S. Jersey will most likely be ready 1st of December
