Hello, another newbie here

Hello, found this site a few days ago, looks great. I'm 6' and about 225-230# and started riding for health reasons as I'm retired and not as busy as I used to be. Been wanting to lose 30-40 lbs for a long time, I guess just not hard enough. Riding a cheap bike now, but looking for a better ride.

Didn't feel like riding today, but went anyway as I won't get better staying home.
By the time I had rode 4 miles, I felt great, at 11.3 miles and home I'm happy I went riding.
A few neighbors see me riding, and are thinking of riding with me.
I'm in Citrus County near Inverness, on the west coast, NW of O-town.

Keep hold of that thought. I've had many days when I felt I couldn't be bothered to ride. But I've never had a day when I regretted going for a ride anyway. In fact some of the occasions when I didn't feel like it have turned into my most enjoyable days on the bike.

Keep at it. You'll find that the length of your rides, and your enjoyment, increase rapidly.
