2 New Bikes . . . and Such A Deal!

I had finally broke the Pig past what I wanted to repair (BB blown out) so went looking on CL for a replacement, just an old thing to put my rebuilt wheels and Schwalbe Marathon Cross tires on. Also, I built up Redemption (an old Raleigh 10 speed) for a friend with new and rebuilt wheels, serviced BB and 700C Schwalbe Marathon tires, fenders and such, and then found out it was too large for him, and too heavy for what I wanted to ride.
So, found this great old Schwinn Mirada that the seller cut a deal for him to keep the old wheels and transfer mine over. I rode it 20 miles around DC and the Canal towpath, and it will be great for that purpose.
Then, on the way home, heard that Fitness Resource is getting out of the bike business, and selling Jamis bikes at low costs. Stopped by the store, they had a brand new 2011 Jamis Allegro 1, MSRP $585. I made a lowball offer of $325, and they took it! The salesman said that they want to unload all their stock at cost! Check 'em out if anyone is looking for a great price.

I'm 2 mph faster with the lighter Jamis on the same route (and I had headwinds today). I can still use it as a grocerygetter also.
