I was down 1.4 this week on my Monday Night Weigh in... I am happy I am still loosing however, I was hoping for a bigger loss with all the riding I have been doing, but, in my head I know it is better to loose it a little slower like I am doing.
Not dieting, I am changing my life, little steps at a time.
I have met one goal so far this month with the 12 rides, I am rapidly approaching my mileage goal and will crush that Friday with a 22 Mile ride. Now only goal left for the month is to bust through 300lbs. really want this one too... wanna see a 2 as a front number instead of a 3!!!

Great job on the weight loss. I have found so far that if I had a bad week of eating, it might now show up on that weeks weigh in but it will catch up with me. Same thing with working out and riding. If I do a lot of it one week, it might not pay off that week but rather the week after. Funny how that works.

Ok, tonight was my WI. I found a meeting and planned to go. I got done early with my meeting so I went back to my hotel, changed, and went on a 5 miles hike. It is really hot here (at least for me) and it was a tough hike but got it done and felt great.
Changed and headed into the meeting. Old school WW meeting place... no computers so they wrote everything by hand. Guess I am spoiled in NJ!
Anyway, down 7.2 pounds this week for a total loss of 42.2 pounds and now weigh 293.2
Feels great!

Chef: I've heard that. One of our local box grocery stores sells some semi-local honey. I'm planning on picking some of this up the next time I'm at the store.
Our local farmer's market hasn't started up yet. There's usually some there. I don't know of any truly "local" bee-keepers that are really close.
Thanks for the advice!

Never really considered organized diet plans. Every several years I look at my weight and go drastic. Waayyy to many Km on the bike at half of what I usually eat. Works great for as long as I can keep up the agressive milage on the cycling. For some reason the exercise decreases my desire to eat.

The thing about WW is that it's not just a diet to lose weight, it is the opportunity to re-train yourself so that you know what eating normally should be, both in content and the amount. It leads you down a gradual weight loss (I've lost 1.7 lbs per week, 10 weeks on the program) and you learn the strengths of whole grains, fruits and veggies, and why the triple cheeseburger is not always the wisest choice. Especially in context to our bicycling/walking lifestyle (for most of you I guess just Bicycling lifestyle) it is a change of direction, a lifechange, a re-learning of good habits. It's not just "eat less and lose weight!!" it's "Welcome to your new healthy outlook!"

Chef, I think you would have enjoyed the ride I did today along the beach... I wanted to do the whole barrier island, but for this time I very happy with covering 2/3 of it! Fridays are my day to ride till June since soccer started, I am one of the coaches for my daughters soccer team... Let me know I am game! most of my games are @ 11:30 so afternoon or evening rides would work as well...

I weighed in this morning. I am down .2 for the week. I was hoping for more, but I made a few unusual food choices last weekend and I didn't or couldn't overcome them. At this point, I'm not certain that the move to Friday morning weigh-in is the best move for me. I will give it another couple of weeks and see how it goes.

I just completed week 10 on WW since I posted the OP - This week, I lost 1.4 pounds. Total weight loss over the 10 weeks is 17.4 pounds, which is 1.74 pounds per week and I could not be happier. WW rocks!

Chef: Because I had weighed in on Friday morning, I had let my guard down during dinner on Friday night. The dinner plan for Friday night was supposed to by Chipotle, but when the line was out the door for Chipotle, we went to a local bbq place. I ordered a bbq beef sandwich, and I made it a "combo" which includes a scoop of potato salad and bbq beans. I had let my guard down because I had weighed in earlier in the day. After eating the potato salad and beans, I moved on to what was left of my daughters chicken caesar salad complete with dressing on it! Then on either Saturday or Sunday night, I ate too many reduced fat cheez-its with peanut butter. At the end of the snack, I had no idea how many points I had consumed and I was left to learn the damage when I got on the scale a day or two later. When I weighed myself on Tuesday morning, I was up 2.7 pounds since Friday!! I kept to the program from Monday through to Friday morning when I weighed in, and I was down .2 on Friday morning. So the net effect of my week was down .2 pounds but I had a real spike in my weight during the week. It is best to remain committed to the program each day and resist the urge to revert back to eating habits of the past.
Tractor: Congrats on this weeks weight loss!!! I agree that the program works really well!!!
