Weekly Inspiration Network: WIN #9, March 5 - March 11
Welcome to the Weekly Inspiration Network!
Since many of us do a better job of sticking to our goals if we have a little public accountability, here's a way to get some support for your efforts towards a healthier you.
If this is your first time posting, let us know what is is you're trying to do, where you are now, and what your goal is. You might be trying to lose weight, or exercise more regularly, or home-cook more meals, or even spend more quality time with your family.
Then every week, let us know how you did the week before.
We'll read each others posts & cheer each other on.
Oh, and if Monday comes around and no one has started the new thread for the week yet -- feel free to copy this post, change the numbers and dates in the title, and get things started. Thanks!

I'm still 'stuck' at around 185 lbs, I'll be glad when daylight savings comes round and I can get out on the bike more. I've only managed 81 miles and 7500' of elevation gain this month.

Weight as of January 2, 2012 (my start date): 227.5
Weight as of March 5, 2012: 202.5
Weight loss this week: 2.5 lbs. (I've been "stuck there for a few days, but that's just water - I'm sticking to the program, which is 1300 calories per day + some exercise.)

Still trying to ride or walk 5 days out of 7, shooting for 100 miles per month (I'm at 70 for March already ) and still watching what I eat for the most part... started at 241 in January, hit 225 a week ago and wobbled back up a bit, back to 225 this morning. I'm going to Vegas with some friends from college next week and rather than the usual non stop drinking and eating a few of us are bringing or renting bikes so I'm REALLY looking forward to that.
10 more pounds and I should start fitting in to a bunch of older cycling jerseys I have in the closet.

Good week. My weight today is 104, in the acceptable range, and my three week moving average shows a calorie deficit of 8 calories, so I call that flat. I averaged about 1570 calories per day for the last week, rather high but I have been riding the bike and lifting weights. I am very tired today, I rode with the guys around 23 miles, taking it fairly easy, and then lifted weights for an hour. Too much. Couldn't do anything but vegetate since. Tomorrow we are riding again and maybe every day this week unless we poop out. Friday I have the first of my birding companions come and then I am pretty much off the bike for the remainder of the month.
It will be interesting to see how the weight goes with less exercise. I'll have to knock down the calorie consumption. I have rather enjoyed flirting with 1600 calories a day.
Still not strong. Still too much fat as compared to muscle. Getting stronger has been harder than losing weight.
