Sons New Bike

I posted this in the road forum but I'm a pretty happy Dad, this kid has been asking for a roadbike for three years. It's a Louis Garneau XS with 24" wheels.

Awesome! My daughter is getting her first "real" bike this year too. Road bike with 105 or Apex. She is 13 and just hit 6' tall, probably another 2-3" to go. I'm probably going with a 58. She could do a 56 or 58 and since she is still growing the 56 would eventually be too small whereas the 58 can be adjusted as she grows.

Sorry for the dumb question but do kids grow out of bikes as fast as they grow out of shoes?
