I was quite pleased with this picture so I thought I'd make it my first post. I bought my bike at the end of January after a 17 year break since my last one got stolen when I was still in high school. Managed 203km(126mi) for march, started off at around 400lbs, still not sure what I weigh but I'm enjoying the riding and trying to go a bit further and a bit quicker every week.
Normally I'm out in the dark before work but with daylight savings finishing I now see the sunrise.

Bike parked at prohibited spot along a resaca, an oxbow lake created by a cut-off Rio Grande channel.

Excellent weather and the serenity of early Sunday morning rides way before the majority of people have even gotten out of their beds made today's 20 mile ride really pleasing!

Team "Old And In The Way" rode from Rosslyn, Virginia to go through Old Town Alexandria to ride over the new Woodrow Wilson Bridge. What an engineering marvel!: wide bike/ped lane on the DC side cresting to awesome views of Alexandria, DC, Maryland and Skyline was clearly visible, so far away. I tried to do a 270-degree panaorama, but it'd require much more resolution to do it justice. I am still awestruck, but even better, waiting for us on the Md side, the path crosses over the highway using a bridge that has been turned into a great park connecting to National Harbor. Pictures don't descibe the awesomeness of it.

The River Skykomish on US Route 2. It was a great ride - the kind that left me feeling my soul had been recharged.

IMGP0011.JPG does not do a thing,
but I don't have a clue how I take it off the iPhoto thing .
I can email it , somewhere .
that is useful, if someone were to want to see stuff I wanted to sell.
Film based pictures . Irish tour.. with a lot of stuff.. in 97.
but film needs slide, negative scanners ..
this site has my KogaMiyata WTR trekking bike, so trust me the Columbia River
is about 100m away.

Got in 37 miles today, boat ramp on the Gulf of Mexico in Crystal River Florida. Near Fort Island beach, showing the power plant behind.

Crystal River is behind all this grass.

Well, my bike is in the corner, I am in the picture and there is no water. But it is a sign with a name of lake, which also happens to be the name of a village. How would you like to write that name on all of your mail? Name of a lake, a lake contains water, close enough:

don't try this at home.
It was a great day for a ride. This route is 15 miles southeast of downtown Cincinnati, in Kentucky.
A branch of Twelvemile Creek, on Washington Trace Road.

Twelvemile Creek

A mile downstream. Old steel bridges really show the compression and tension forces, using the minimum amount of steel. This one was rusty, and just got painted this year. The bridge is only for a couple of farms on the other side of the creek.

When you hear the rippling water, it will set your heart a gogg,
At Lake Char-gogg-agogg-manchaugg-a-gogg-cha-bun-a-gun-ga-maugg
And the rhythm of the bull frogs, with their love-lorn dialogue,
At Lake Char-gogg-agogg-manchaugg-a-gogg-cha-bun-a-gun-ga-maugg.
