I need to WARN everyone who joins this challenge. It will control you. It is addictive! I have not taken a day off in over 20 days, and I think I am pushing my legs a little too far...but I can't help myself

My bike fitter/trainer has just gotten back to me (because I inquired why my legs are feeling trashed) chastising me for not taking a day off each week, I am going to have to force myself.

I noticed that. I planned to take yesterday off since I had a lot of errands to handle and run my daughter to and from a concert, but noticed Mike kicking ass so I decided to ride anyway. Wake up this morning planning to lounge around until work at 1700, and Mike was at it again. Guess no day of for me today, either. It's a great and fun way to keep at it though. To me that's the whole point of riding a bike to lose weight and get in shape, most of the time it's done because I want too, not because I feel I have too (like eating veggies).

I laid out the month in a spreadsheet, leaving two days off per week. Then I saw Gary is only taking one day off and I though...crap ok, only on day.

Although I feel like a lead rider getting swallowed up by the peloton right now.

I'm way behind for this month already. While on a 9 day vacation I only managed one fit in one ride.

Yes. If you use a GPS device to track you workouts you can export the GPX file from the device and import it into Endmondo. If you do not use a GPS device you can manually enter your workouts.

I assume a trogdolyte doesn't use a GPS device either . If you manually enter the data you will need to enter your distance and the time it took you to complete your ride. When you set up your endomondo account you will enter your age and weight. Endomondo calculates your calories for you each time. I'll bet that if you find you like this challenge and this community, you will soon give up the trogdolism and get yourself a device to help you track your progress.

I guess I'm only semi-trog or something - I have a garmin edge 500... Got tired of entering the rides by hand...

I'll bite.

I'm finally getting back to some 'regular' riding after an October "cease and desist" from my doctor. My longer rides may be down a little but I'm hoping to do many shorter rides to try to compensate.

Thanks for setting this up.

Thanks for joining the challenges. There is a new one for those of use who are in areas that have bad weather this time of year but still want to participate in a Clydesdales challenge. You can participate using any sport including many indoor workouts.

Revived I see! Well, I never even knew about Endomondo until today, I am usually a Strava person! I found you can export from Strava to Endomondo though, so have signed up and will give both a go for a while.

I signed up for the May Miles and the May Calories challenges. Btw, the link to the miles one above is wrong, it is:

Hmmm, have uploaded my rides from Strava, and they do not seem to be recognised by the Endomondo Challenges. So, sorry, but I'm out!

I've used Strava for several months now and copied my rides over to Endomondo. It's quite simple. You copy the ride file to your computer from Strava and then upload the file to Endomondo. The trick to getting Endomondo to recognize your ride for the challenge is this: Edit your ride and at the bottom of the screen you check the box that says "include ride in statistics". I think the default is to not include rides in the challenges. Please don't quite so easily. The endomondo challenges are fun.
