OK, I got in an 11 miler this afternoon. April total came to 245.9. Year to date is 1062 miles. A year ago, I hadn't ridden in about 15 years. Glad to be back in the saddle!

Commuting sure helps but I think the real gains are from consecutive longish weekend rides. With a century scheduled for May 20th and the Seattle to Portland in July I am somewhat trying to follow the training plan for the STP. This has been a huge time committment but I am enjoying it as well. My goal has been to get down to 230 by June, 8-9 lbs. to go, not sure I'll make that without cutting back on the comfort foods.

I concur with Chef! Well done everyone. It is not the amount of miles so much as it is setting an achievable goal and going out there and meeting or exceeding it. Keep the enjoyment high even if this means enjoying the pain on occasion and you'll keep getting on the bike, at least that is how it works for me.

In for 300 km again this month.
I just barely made it last month due to multiple flat tires on my upright and a mild injury from pushing too far while getting used to the recumbent. My average speed and endurance are already back up to comparable to what I was able to do on the DF.

Finally got on my bike for the first time this month. Commute to work. 21 miles.
I'm going to try to commute all week. At 10 miles each way, it'll add up quick.
